The engine in which the combustion of a fuel occurs with an oxidizer in a combustion chamber is what is called Internal combustion engine.

any modern car, truck, bus, or motorbike engine has an internal combustion engine. simply put, its an engine where the explosion (combustion) of fuel happens INSIDE (internal) the engine

Just wondering, if there is any external combustion engine too. Lol.

A steam engine would be an example of an external combustion engine
