Engine Noises!

Hey everyone

Many of us face a trouble with the engine when it starts making a noise. Please discuss the possible actions to diagnose the engine noises. This forum will surely help in knowing many reasons behind engine noises.

Actually there are lot of type of noises in the engine. And for every noise there is different set of diagnosing rules. I fhave faced some noises like:

Engine clicking noise

Collapsed filter noise

Engine valve noise

Engine bearing noise

engine pinging noise while accelerating

Also, can you explain how you fixed the noises?

The engine clicking and collapsed filter noise is because of the low oil pressure or any worn or damaged part. To fix this noise, check the oil level in the engine and others parts if they are damaged.

In case of Valve noise, one needs to check the valve lash if it is damaged.

If there is bearing noise in the engine it means there is an extreme damage to the bearing. One needs to get that fixed. Don't try to fix it on your own, if you are not experienced.

And lastly, the pinging noise from the engine comes because of the detonation in the car system.
