what is causing the car bottom fo my volkswagen to get hot

i feel that the car bottom (where we keep out feet) is getting VERY hot then it should

i am sure its not coz of the summers as i have a shaded parking both at home and work then why is this happening

it could be the overheating of the car in general that is overheating the car. try changing the carpet to a better quality.
