Thanks to all who attended my first partial lead drive, and especially @Andrew John Melvill for offering to keep an eye on me as second lead. we started out in the South Western part of secret dunes, between the pylon track and love lake to the right. The evening before recce helped us select a better entry point, clean longitudinal dunes slightly more technical with a few soft patches to sink the complacent. Then headed east to the sabhka and back the pylon track to enter secret dunes from the east. the convoy did really well, so we kept a good pace and upped the speed every now and again. The support team did well guiding out the few refusals. A good drive we covered 57m5 points -

Drive Report: Overall it was a bit of a fast drive for the level, and everyone did very well. Qudra has got greener, but thankfully it still has something left to redeem, with plenty of options to drive on the long ridges. Sandeep @Sandeep Padhi: Big thanks for the second lead. You kept the right distance, drove very nicely, and helped tug Nagarjun out. Please get a kinetic rope and soft shackles, though. Your current ones are for tarmac and not fit for the desert. Rachid @Rachid: Drove very nicely on your Patrol and always looked confident. Javed @Mohammad Javed: Fantastic with his FJ Cruiser. Nagarjun @Nagarjun S: You had some refusals and stucks but managed well towards the end. With more practice you will do much better. Sam @Sam_: Had to exit early as his passenger got sick. Hope to see you soon. Herman @_Herman_: Thanks for the support at the back. I also noticed you explaining a few finer points to Nagarjun. Much appreciated.3 points -

Was pretty fun joining a drive with you again @Infaz. It’s been a while.. shame it ended the way it did but I am sure it won’t be out for long. Thanks @Sam Selim for the beautiful drive. It was heaps fun.2 points -

Honestly I wasn’t enjoying it while it was happening! 😂 The moment I got out of the bowl, I realized how much of a drift it actually was and after watching the video I really like it!! The link! Getting out of the double bowl with 2WD!2 points -

Hi Infaz, Did you also record getting out of the bowl with rear power only? Should be some good footage there!!! Kudos to keep your good spirits throughout it all!2 points -

Flipping brilliant drive today, 1st half was more like a safari than dune bashing and the 2nd half was brilliant, clean dunes and easy enough to enjoy! Thanks once again! Excellent lead work and pace by all. I've so far avoided the tow rope of shame although I think we got pretty close today after the bronco tried to do a handstand! 4Lo and all the diffs locked for the win! Obligatory self indulgent shot because why not! 🤣😀2 points -

Thanks @Looper for a wonderful drive today in Qudra. The desert in this part of Dubai still has charm for offroad enthusiasts. Great lead and it was fun doing the loops 🙂. I have taken a note with regard to the tow gear and will invest in this soon. Thanks everybody for a wonderful ride and enjoy rest of the weekend ahead!!2 points -
