  1. I also had the same issue I called the guys over at Liberty Autos and they advised that I lube the transmission spline. I got it done and it is doing better. See if this works out for you as well.
  2. Nice thread kartik!! Do it yourselves always backfire in one way or the other... only because we're not experts. There is entirely a possibility that we leave some precautionary measures out. Would love to hear all the crazy DIY backfires
  3. hi guys - is there a reason why i should not be buying a second hand BLS 09? Never heard any problems about it as such .. i just dont like front wheel drives but im being offered a good price.
  4. Okay I have done this before which is why im letting you on this, otherwise i really dislike doing small/big jobs on luxury cars. Too much money always at stake. Here is what you need - Sealant like kartik said, torx screwdriver and flat bladed screwdriver. Step 1 - Your car should be off and in neutral position. this position is suitable for knob work because you can move the screwdrivers properly around the knob. Step 2 - Make sure you dont scratch anything, the bar or the knob with the screwdriver. You need to remove the top chrome metal piece on the knob. This depends on the kind of knob as well, many knobs are different, in any case you can remove this metal piece to expose a screw. Google - 'torx screw on shifter knob for an image' Step 3 - Remove the screw and apply the sealant to the threads of the screw. Yes you need to apply the sealant carefully on the spirals of the screw. install the screw again. Step 4 - Wait for it to tighten and then try wobbling it to check. Replace the metal back into its place. there you have it.
  5. Nice images man ... never occurred to me that i can google it too yeah i see some similarity .. well at least ill have an idea about what i am looking at. Well done. By the way should i manually touch it up or should i get a spray paint job done ? heard the latter provides better coverage .. im just double minded because i dont have a lot a lot of chipping. :s
  6. Hello everyone ... my rims have lost their color in a couple of small places and I am thinking of touching up the paint ... any ideas where I can get the paint and how I can determine the exact color of the rims that I have on my car?
  7. Hiya I have been a proud owner of the SRX4 07 for a couple of years now and never had any small or big issues with my ride. Recently, I found it funny that my rear windshield wiper got stuck at one place - right at the middle and I was like seriously? this is the problem i have after so many good years ... Basically I haven't been able to fix it myself and I am avoiding a dealership ride. I tried turning it off and on again continuously but nothing seems to work. What can I do to make it working again?
  8. Since your STS has the road sensing suspension, you may also want to get your vehicle hooked up to a scan tool so it can read the trouble codes the computer is throwing out. It could be something as minute as a non-working sensor. Also, get your brakes and brake fluid checked.
  9. If you have the patience then go to scrap yard in sharjah and you can find the seats there.
  10. the car overheating is one of the biggest problems in middle east that is always contributed by the very hot weather.
