what made the brakes of my Captiva spongy
bomain replied to bradly's topic in Chevrolet Captiva Forum in UAE
When air gets into the brake system the brakes get spongy a few things lead to this either leaks in the lines, less fluid in the system or if caliper that opened up a brake line is changed. b bleeding the brakes. will solve the problem -

Its time to retire this old ride bro. Dont mind, it will be too expensive to maintain and feed such an old car unless you have lot of money and doing this as a fun project for the sake of love -
The windshield wiper is acting up!
bomain replied to christo's topic in Chevrolet Cruze Forum in UAE
It seems motor is dying and you need to either change the motor or get it repaired in sharjah somewhere as i really doubt anyone will repair that in Dubai. As an experiment what you can try is switch the motors and see if other one become slow too, then its confirmed motor is faulty. If not atleast you will know that motor is fine and then try changing the wiper arm and experiment. Good luck. -
Lift the car and turn right and see what is hitting behind the front right tire, fix that loose flap or shiel hanging there and touching tire on every turn.

Hi Omar, i dont own a corvette but love to help. I remember reading that if your O2 sensor goes bad or freaky, it can create a very rich mixture and mess up the Cat. Also, some gas additives can sometimes have things in them that could mess them up. Really though, it's stuff that coats they platnium fibers in the cat. So if you're running rich, you'll get that extra carbon to coat the fibers and prevent the platnium from catalyizing the reaction. Get the car computer diagnose not only for exhaust system, but for Intake check, Air flow meter check, fuel pump check etc may be you will find some culprit there. Hope it helps.

There is LCD ribbon on these modern dash, that has life of 5 years approx. Its dying. I am sure al ghandi wont have that, as they like to sell whole assembly for making thousands. Source something from US you can fix it yourself with instructions provided.

Wheel balancing is required, your tyre weight must be lost somewhere. Have been doing some adventure with ur explorer????

Better open the door from inside and remove the lower panel out and see what is stuck and just jammed. You might damage more if u push it hard.

when u drive longer run, your car doesn't brake much as in short run and keep moving for minutes or hours saving A LOT OF FUEL. Standing on red lights, taking too many lefts and rights road, braking in traffic or crawling in traffic drinks lot of fuel. You drive 1 km in crawling traffic for 15 min = 8 - 15 km (depending on car to car) drive in empty road in 5 mins (in terms of fuel)

If i was in ur place, i would have sued Chevrolet dealer Al ghandi for not obeying the warranty and for playing with records. What kind of malpractice these guys are upto now. Very weird and strange. Sorry to hear that you and your wife has to go through this.

Looks like the switch (knob) is faulty, if not blower is bad. AC is fine, dont change.
