  1. there is a list of workshops posted have a look at them if you can get any useful workshops.
  2. really scary situation please do keep up posted will be waiting to hear the results to this. thanks
  3. Sorry to burst your bubble, it seems that you cant do it. Go and search here: search.php with "navigation" keyword and you will see many people discussed this before here and reached no where. Sorry man.
  4. Thats quiet weird. Im no big fan of Ford edge but better show to mechanic to diagnose the Gear lever mechanism isnt freaky or something wrong with gear solenoid that shifts and changes the gear. Move a car slightly and then try to engage in P. Second try: switch off car and then try to shift to P. See if it happen at any of these attempt then we can think more on those lines.
  5. Engine oil gets darker closer to its change date or km. If you have no record of km or time when u change the last engine oil, then better get it changed now and keep track. Engine oil cost not much so why risk it.
  6. Wow 3k spent and havent changed or checked main engine fan aka viscose clutch fan? Overheating main reason is: cooling isnt proper from main engine fan or radiator isnt cooling the coolant good. So two big things to check at first should be check radiator for blockage and rust that must be depleting the cooling efficiency and second is the main engine fan should work on two speed, normal and hi. Over time engine fan gives up and only run on normal speed and not hi speed. Whereas occasionally when car overheat slightly engine fan should work at HI SPEED and producing big loud hooooving noise. If you dont hear that noise and car still overheat then get that viscose clutch fan changed asap.
  7. Firstly ankit, welcome aboard. We all are like you "Ford owners" and not working with Ford workshop or trained professional mechanics. No as such database, other than helping each other here out of fun and knowledge sharing. Changing spark plug shudnt be big deal, tell me which year model ur explorer is and what engine size u got?
  8. Get the fuel pump checked, starter motor checked and before all this check for starter fuses and relay.
  9. Stick Garmin on dash for 400 dhs, from carrefour
  10. Please check the Crankshaft Sensor and camshaft. Also it will be good if you check all the fuses as well. Get back to me if i can help further. All the best
  11. ACE Hardware in festival city has formula 1 and carnuba wax. Both are excellent and good quality product.
  12. first test the horn itself and to do that you should run a jumper wire to the power connector on the horn, to the positive battery terminal. When you touch the battery terminal, the horn should sound loud. If the horn is sounding good, the problem is with either the switch in the steering wheel, or in the horn relay and if not then the horn has to be changed
  13. I doubt if wiper has relay, it must have fuse and check in engine bay fuse section next to air filter and engine. Or under driver side leg space area fuse box.
  14. Get the whole duct open and get it check with good AC mechanic as it involve accessing this thru dashboard.
  15. The only solution to remove the stripped bot is get the another bolt head welded on top by lathe guys and then try unscrewing it. I am not sure how safe is to do the welding in engine area, but i had similar problem in wheel nut and done that and it worked.
