  1. Just googling this afternoon some interesting fact about big overhaul of car design and came across Peter Shreyer who has been an actual man behind all of yummy looking Kia design and making the brand instant hit in market. Peter used to work with Audi and Volkswagen cars and in 2006 - 2007 Peter switch to Kia Motors and started designing for Kia cars for 2009 onward models. Kia sales and market respect rose instantly and Kia gained new dimensions worldwide. Later on Peter also took on Hyundai models re work on design and that's why now new Hyundai models are also looks like thoughtfully design and attractive than in previous year. Its so interesting, that how one man can change the life history of car manufacturer who has been in existence since 1944 for making bicycles. I am sure many of you guys didn't knew and never bother to search, but i am sure who does now know which guy to pass the respect and humble gratitude.
  2. Kia makes the cheap car to be precise, with all the bells and whistles of Japanese cars. People started preferring Kia is to save on money and go big on features, luxury and now style too, reliability i am still not sure though. One could go for a better one with slight high price to Hyundai another Korean Car.
  3. Hi, I am planning to go for a automatic transmission mostly to do with off-road activities and little bit of urban drive, how good is that.
  4. By the way guys ... Wranglers have a long history of just 'losing' transmission fluid. been the subject of several recalls too. Read a couple of articles today as well.
  5. hiya! I suggest u switch to Redline MT90. that should make the noise go away and i hope it works. I personally know wrangler owners who did the same for the problem.

Yes the GL-5 transmission fluid should be used ... moreover I also agree with hashim since its annoying hot outside these days!
  7. HOLD ON GUYS ... my wrangler is a 1997 model as well ... my owner's manual says use a GL-5. take it in pal. have a qualified technician look at it. When my wrangler first started doing something along the same lines ... the first thing i did was consult the manual and that's where i found out that GL-5 transmission fluid should be used.
  8. which company's transmission fluid are you using? make sure you are using a GL-3 rated transmission fluid ...
  9. hi everybody!!! i have a 1997 wrangler. it has 4 cylinders and a 5 speed manual transmission. i went to Europe with my friends for the summer vacations which basically meant that my Jeep was at my father's disposal. just got back 3 days ago. I have noticed a whining sound in the first, second and third gears. initially i thought it was running low on transmission fluid but a thorough check revealed that i was wrong. has any of the Jeep users ever had this problem? Oddly enough, the sound disappears in the fourth and the fifth gear.
  10. check out with AMMC they are affiliate of Al Majid Group, selling KIA in UAE with 6% market share. They have around 12 service and part centres.
  11. Kia Carnival is really a good bet, or Sedona one of the largest non-commercial cars. With 3.8 lt V6 engine the vehicle is competitive priced, good luggage space great interiors and comes with an attractive 16" allow wheels, and what more its a 7-seaters.
  12. If you are in Dubai do visit Al Majid Motors on Sheikh Zayed Rd, since you are upgrading it to Angel eyes and Im not sure if they can help you, with a panel but you might get a solution.
  13. The typical Korean car with all the goodies, do I see all the features are convincingly captured from the Japanese car, which are again based on American prototypes. I don't see Hyundai doing that to compete with the European and American cars.
  14. Just when everyone thought I couldn't make I got the better offroader machine, I got this factory built Wrangler that comes standard with may of the goodies. Off road Jeepers essentially need big tires, and with it comes a 4:1 low range T-case, Dana 44 front and rear axles with on-demand lockers. For me Wrangler Jeep, it is a beloved build-able machine just to be off road for a change.
  15. Jeeps are remarkably adaptable machines, but coming up recently I think the engineers who tinker with them have no modification in mind, on commercial aspects.
  16. Jeep are meant for off road activities, its a formidable machine and will take you far enough into the tough stuff to get you well. I suggest there are ways to learn to use your Jeep with good effect, offroad for sure. I am know about cherokke and wrangler too.
  17. If you are starting from scratch, this may be the hardest queston to answer. Aman here have been driving Jeep and four wheeled and my brain is probably full of jeep jargon
  18. Jeep wrangler any day my friend. Lighter body weight with enough power to fly in dunes. Nissan patrol is too heavy and underpower for good climb unless you go two door nissan patrol (capsula) which is so bloody expensive for desert bashing.
  19. Wish to see more of these coming here. Nice thread. Keep up the good work Jeh.
  20. i went to dragon supermart and didnt find car tools want to know if someone can give me exact address.
