Why people punish with tailgating and then hard braking
victor posted a topic in General Discussions
I always wonder why drivers in Dubai do the hard tailgating and once they get chance to pass, they come in front and brake hard in front of you and leave. Why do you punish others who abide the speed limit and cant go above speed limit for the sake of law/safety/fines. Not everyone is like you: Who doesn't care of fines as you are rich. Who doosn't care about law, as you have good wasta (contacts). Who doesn't care about safety as you think your car is very strong (unbreakable). Most of the Nissan Patrol and some sports cars in today's road demonstrate such behavior and I seriously want to understand what exactly they want from others....? Please help. -

Easy way out is, catch the bengali or african guy once and tell him nicely that don't put it here anymore please. I did that once and it worked until few weeks the guy changed and I have to do same again. -
Hi Fellas, Good afternoon everyone, I am contemplating on getting the bank finance or use my cash for my next car and why? Pros Save my money for something else Keep paying in small EMI, that doesnt impact budgeting of other things Cons Too much hassle and paperwork for weeks and weeks for getting it Too much hassle and paperwork for weeks and weeks for closing it Car Seller doesn't prefer bank transactions While selling again same drama. Conclusion: Is it worth banking a car when you have spare cash, means bank hassle worth saving that 2-3% extra expense (lesser than one year insurance).....? I hope you got my confusion.

Looks like there is some unsaid confusion here: Oil vs Petrol (fuel) consumption. Oil should not get consumed in any car in the world unless it is a turbo motor. If Oil get consumed in non turbo car then there is something wrong with engine head gasket and for sure it's a big expense. And for normal Oil change (maintenance) Audi service advise to change oil every 15,000 Kms unless you are in very rough environment where it is advise to change at every 10-12k Kms. Talking about fuel consumption, A8 will defintely have bigger apetite due to 8 cylinder motor and I am sure it's inline with any other 8 cylinder cars. In that segment for sure Audi is much better than other 8 cylinders like Japanese and American marquees still.

Well I feel Mazda has a lower maintenance cost than Peugeot. From performance I think Peugeot is better than Mazda any day, and so in looks. Mazda is one the most cheapest japanese brand just place to eat Mitsubishi share but they are not even close to 100% japanese standard as offered by Toyota, Nissan and Honda. My vote: Peugeot anyday.

Hella and IPF fog lights are the best as per my own use opinion. It might be little expensive than the naif non branded version, but there use in extra foggy days or in night in pitch dark area such as desert and wadi outing is amazing. Little extra goes long way.

Which Evo would you choose? Evo 8, 9 or X
victor replied to deve's topic in Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Forum in UAE
Well EVO X is the latest and bestest EVO anyone can get and that's why since so many year even Mitsubishi is not changing it as they know its the best EVO they got in market now, so enjoy until they have some solid upgraded EVO in R&D department. -

Used parts never OK to buy
victor replied to ahmedk's topic in Mazda General Discussion Forum in UAE
In short avoid buying the consumable part and buy the non consumable part if it's not broken and in good condition. -

What about Hyundai Accent? Even that is good.

There are many reasons actually: Old Tires: If the tires are too old, it leads to flat tires Rash Ride: When someone is driving rash or driving on the potholes, that also leads to flat tires.

Most Important features in a Car
victor posted a topic in Land Rover General Discussion Forum in UAE
What do you think are the most importnt features that every car should have? -
Hey guys. I am in a bit confusion. I got my car back from the service center around 2 days back. The one who was incharge of my car gave me an advice to align my car wheels after regular interval of time. I mean, Why? What i know is that wheel alignment should be done when your tires are acting unusual. But why do one need wheel alignment when your tires are perfectly fine. So please guys tell me, if he was right or was he just throwing things in the air so that I could be his regular servicing guy.
