  1. For importing car, you can visit aweer car market in ras al khor and you will find many shops who can do this for you. Compare and choose. For importing or not, i think its personal question in what you get from UK than available here. Im sure GCC specs defender will have thermostat and radiator set at this country heat setting. Secondly saw your twisted defender, apart from roof rack, wheels, lights and skid plate cant find anything different in cosmetic. If that's what you aim, then better buy GCC specs here and do all these cosmetic mods from ramy trading or naif market in deira. For registration, these minor mods is perfectly fine unless there is no much sound producing engine mod has been done, which RTA here don't like it. If you getting puma engine inside the engine bay lol, then i would say HELL YESSSSSSS for this import. Good luck.
  2. Nice news guys about Land Rover in Middle East has won prize in Dubai by RTA for lowest emmision car. Al hamdulilah Share this great news every where as i never heard this news since and its two years old already. lololol. Land Rover MENA’s industry leading CO2 offset programme has been heralded by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) at the 2nd Dubai Awards for Sustainable Transport. The programme, which was launched across the GCC and Levant by Land Rover in 2008, picked up second place in the Environmental Protection Category at the awards, which are held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council. Robin Colgan, Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover, Middle East and North Africa, said, "We’re delighted to have won this prestigious award as it represents a validation by the Dubai government of our sustainable practices. The CO2 offset programme reiterates our commitment to playing an active and positive role in sustained transport, and in bringing about positive change in the UAE.” Land Rover’s CO2 offset programme is the most comprehensive of its kind undertaken by an automotive manufacturer. It enables both the company and its customers to take positive steps to balance CO2 emissions and address climate change. Comprising two elements; the programme offsets all the CO2 emissions generated during manufacturing operations in the UK, and the first 72,000 km of customer use on all vehicles in the GCC and Levant, including the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Land Rover LR3, Land Rover LR2 and Defender models. Colgan added, “Our CO2 offset programme continues to achieve outstanding results with approximately 147,082 tonnes of CO2 offset from the GCC and Levant in the first year alone since its launch.” Land Rover’s CO2 offset programme is part of the automotive manufacturer’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, which also includes sustainable manufacturing practices and a focus on fuel efficiency in its vehicles. Colgan concluded, “Despite being a car manufacturer, sustainability and the environment are important to Jaguar Land Rover. For example, the latest 2010 line-up across all of our brands are the company’s most fuel efficient to date.”
