So What ever happened to this one ... you guys bought it but you left in the part where the owner had to leave the country. It looks like it needs a total rebuild. What was the asking price anyway. You need to keep the board up to date on your cars man!

I agree with Sohail. I have bought three cars from individual sellers and each was great and the owners got what they asked. What I cannot stand is people who advertise like owners and then you find they are dealers. Yeesh!

Thanks Mike. It took only three days on the board to sell. It is pretty much sold pending funds for almost all of what I asked. Turns out Defender 110s pre-Tdic CSWs are super rare here (LOTS OF PICK UPS!!) and the TD5 is the last rover engine that can be worked on by a man without a super computer. I have been hunting for five years and only got my cars through the Emirati grapevine or this board. Still hunting for two more - a pre-88 D130 and D110 doublecabs! A man can never have enough Defenders.

Abu Askoor in Mussafah next to ARB (look for the Defenders or Range Rovers on the side street) is pretty cheap and does good work.

Still on the Hunt for any LR Defender 110s, 110 Crew cabs or 130 CREW CABs 1983-1988!! If you see one, tell me as I am buying and paying pretty good prices. I'll even pay a commission to anyone who finds me one that I end up buying. Get your kids and friends to go Defender spotting. These are not for resale but for fun. I have two more to find before I go home and my kids need cars.
