  1. if you try to sell it yourself just be careful of people giving you checks and who try to hand you advance on weekend and try to take the car away for getting it checked alone don't leave the car until you got payed and transfer it to his name your car could end up in a salvage yard being chopped up for parts or in oman if you know him nicely and giving it with the registration then make a court paper naming him responsable and owner so later on you dont regret
  2. if you inclined to take a trip to africa then land cruiser is the way to go prior to 07 models you will get parts easily there and try to get a 6 cylinder manual one will be easier to maintain all the other cars you mentioned don't have much room as compared to lc 100 lc100 can take whatever you throw at it without giving a hoot in 40k you can get a auto and then convert it to manual (as there is very less clean manuals around) and put few more goodies too 8 cylinder and specially the 6 cylinder petrol is only available for MENA market others run the 8 cyl version the australian version has a 6 but its diesel one being out in the open away from humanity and still being able get things moving not only needs mechanical know how but patience and out of the box thinking
  3. i have put amron in my lancer when i got the plates for it and after 4 renewals its still alive and kicking i usually try to get amron for my customers who are ready to cough up and for the rest anything goes as long as the price is low but for some cars the size is not available specially for american ones lately i am seeing a trend that the battery dies at exactly at 12 months and few days and amrons price has increased a bit and they are offering 18 months warranty as of now many nissans and german and american cars usually kill the battery earlier if you use the cheaper variety and the battery which has come in car from america runs longer i had a customer who bought a toyota sienna used with custom papers had one battery whose name i have never seen in this market it was a green with a gray top it lasted him 4 years here who knows how much it had run back in the states....
  4. first of all before starting your car do the basics check the engine oil level (if low top it up) then check the water not in the reserve but from the pressure cap on top radiator (other places on various models) also if less please top it up and also do notice if its leaking or not then start your car and try to listen for any abnormal noise if all seems fine then you sure can drive the car but keep an eye on the heat gauge and on the oil light and try to reach a workshop which can further diagnose the car for you through a computer diagnosis machine what i can make out from your message is that some sensor is communicating in a funky way to cause the light to come on but better be safe then sorry and end up fixing things when it has already hit the fan and please do let us know whats up by updating this post so everyone can benefit from this conversation
  5. maybe the idle speed needed to be updated or check the air filter if its choked...in many cars there is a sensor that reminds the ecu to slightly idle up as the power steering is used
  6. its the problem with 99% forums they ask collect ideas then poof gone no result is posted...
  7. sorry for chipping in late but i have a better idea for the adnoc funda just get a 20 liter can and go stand at the right side filling nozzles if the pipe is unreachable you will surely benefit from that as most cars have left side filling cap
  8. from last year i am seeing a shift in the scrap market shop names remain the same but the management or there owner is changing or shifting somewhere else so its just a toss salad there sajja and ind. 6 is good for toyota and lexus just need keen eyes and the japanese parts will speak for themselves there is not much margin there thats why the good quality aftermarket ones can't stay competitive with the originals in asian market that why the small mushrooms of cheap thailand and china is really doing good in this area the customer is always willing to pay less sometimes even knows that he is cutting on quality/durability i usually get to hear do char mahena to chalega na (it'll atleast run 2 or 4 months) or the bach donga gaadi(gonna sell car) but the aftermarket performance market of select models is running great as in any other market as they are always expensive then the dealer part....
  9. talked to a radio guy who said to the head unit is goin bad it happens to most rockford ones
  10. not ajman only in sharjah you can get fresh parts but you have to keep an eye open as there too now repaired goods shop have popped up which sell repaired goods
  11. i know the axels new are very expensive and aftermarket will not last so we usually advise the customers to better buy used japanese axles both will come at around 550 to 650 and it will last you a good time
  12. regular stuff is not much expensive its almost same as other toyota and lexus like in most cars the front end things are expensive so be careful and cheers
  13. no comprehensive test take it to a workshop and let them test it nicely....
  14. any Ls from after 2k is nice the Ls 460 is a wonderful piece of art it has almost all the amenities everything is rock solid very well built dual a/c like in big suv's ,rear power seats ,very quiet car 8 gears so highway consumption is low ,radar cruise, lane keep assist and many more goodies just be careful just try not to buy anybody else's piece of shit if you do that then its your mistake not the cars try to get a well maintained one then you will really be happy i have heard very rare ones come with supercharger installed from company i have seen ls430 with supercharger the only bad thing in these cars is its abs that goes bad in few years and you have to change the accumulator and or the abs assy itself which is gonna cost a handsome amount of around 4.5 to 7k i have seen people drive it like that with the abs light on have also seen unsuspecting people buying it with the abs light disabled so they really did not know that there was a problem with it either way its a risk you should not be taking other than that the parts are available for it in new as well as the used market is saturated with it
  15. you can never fully learn from watching until unless its you in that shoe some wise guy said practice makes perfect
  16. prado and avalon also suffer from those issues but you can always get them covered or removed totally and fix a better leather on it...
  17. its here in the listing along with the number i can whatapp you the location
  18. If the apocalypse has happened and it's the only 2 cars in the world then you should go with Merc Or I really favor other cars
  19. That is right Barry but end of the day you have loved ones to take care of. right way or the highway ain't gonna do that it's better to show them the way of what can be done and let them call the shots that way I still go home with bread and butter in hand.
  20. till now had not had the chance to play around such scenarios but 95% who had such problems i had cleared the catalyst converter out and or tossed the sensor itself only with exception with few who understood and wanted their car as original as possible and were ready to pay the price of used or a new one too....
  21. i heard something about o2 emulators that you have to splice it there and funky things stop but its something i heard not tried as of till now
  22. nothing bad happens if you are throttle happy unless if you are in the middle of the desert....☺️
  23. @Brijesh Kumar its not that all the 2nd hand engine are lottery but the car you have is not much used in the japan market thus cant get a japanese used part for it the kia and hyundai is usually imported from the singapore malaysia and american market and its really tough to assess the damage without the tear down you will have to open up the engine to assess the damage then only you could get the right cost of the fix unless you giving it out on contract then its will only be a fixed price whatever behind that will be bared by the business but you shouldn't be going that route
