A question, does a catalytic converter help reduce the noise? I thought the noise reduction was the job of the muffler.

Spark plugs can affect the throttle response greatly. Since its a new purchase its good to get all the spark plugs, ignition coils, air filters, Throttle body checked /cleaned / replaced as a first step. That should sort out most of the problems. How many km is the car driven?

Probably because 1) Classic plates are more expensive 2) I think there is a restriction on the amount of km it can be driven on the road each year

Congrats Doc, heard very good reviews of your driving skills. You seem to be doing the max number of drives amongst all of us each month and that has shown in the pace at which you have grown. Look forward to seeing you take up more responsibility within the club to help groom the next batch of offroaders. -

What to do with all that junk in my trunk?
Srikumar replied to Lisa Pemberton's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
You could use boxes for all the small stuff. Bungee cord and web nets to ensure that all the other items like shovel, jack, compressor etc are tightly fitted and do not move. In your Pajero I believe there are 4 points on which you can attach the bungee cord hooks. This works reasonably well without much investment. For the radios I use the cup holders and they are deep enough to prevent the radio from falling off. Alternatively you can hang it around your neck, though I don't prefer that. -
