  1. So true. His legacy continues in everyone of us. He showed all of us how beautiful the sand can be. Miss you Bhai.
  2. Congratulations @Asif Hussain. Well deserved bhai.
  3. I have used this a few times and also on my recent Liwa trip. The material is very well made with strong zips. The only issue I faced is that the velcro provided comes out. I plan to stich then as a permanent solution. But can definitely recommend it.
  4. Hope you guys had a great evening and celebrations. I have misplaced one chair and mistakenly taken another one (pic attached). Appreciate if you could check if anyone has my chair. Thanks guys and wish you a great year ahead.

  6. It's the Sand gods playing tricks again… otherwise stuck and me don’t mix 😂
  7. I will bring in the XJ only and carry a bunch of spares in the pickup that @Frederic plans to drive.
  8. Since we cant vote for our own cars, I will vote for the next closest one which is a beautiful 99 Red color Manual XJ owned by @Brett Eicher. Love the way he has setup the interiors of his car which easily transforms into an overland vehicle and has sufficient space to sleep inside when needed. Plus the fact that a 25 year old+ granny can still give the younger ones a run for their money. I am sure there are many cars that would make one's favorite list but in the event of an apocalypse, there will be two things that would survive - a cockroach and a XJ 😂 @Brett Eicher you will have to help me with the pics of your car buddy
  9. Congratulations @Benje_Junior for being the youngest Lead in Carnity. Well done.
  10. Have you checked the rear differential bushings? Did they change the oil on the differential? If so, was it dirty with small pieces? Then it might need opening up to have a visual inspection?
  11. Now that's a weekend well spent. A challenging terrain, with great drivers and an amazing company for the evening. Liwa is never easy and it can never be how ever experienced one might be. It will always make you realize that one needs to respect the terrain. The first part of the terrain is what I would like to refer as the Liwa jungle with the amount of vegetation. As we got deeper in, you could start seeing cleaner dunes with soft deceiving sand. But that's what's make us the appreciate the efforts of the Lead and Second Lead who got us through that terrain even more. Like our Lead rightly said Liwa can never be tamed. It was definitely not the perfect day for me as I was having multiple issues with a bit of underperforming car, but I guess I was quite determined to do the Liwa drive this year and was extremely happy that I could be a part of this challenge. Prior to the stuck in the bowl, I had a feeling that I was going to get into a nasty situation. Sometimes you do need to respect your gut feeling, but with some fantastic team work by everyone I was able to get it out of the sticky spot and reach camp site just before it became dark. With Gaurav Soni and Looper family joining the company became even more amazing. On the way back home, Kabir said the highlight of the drive was the evening spent around the fire place with the stories and some good music. I couldn't agree more. Thank you @Frederic for a brilliantly planned drive and also to exit out the next day morning by 11 AM. It was good to get back home early. Hopefully will see you guys on the next Liwa adventure.
  12. Hi Guys, I just realised that I might have lost my camping light during the NYE gathering. Incase anyone had found it, please do let me know. Thanks
  13. @Imran Asghar are you getting some wood? If not will try squeeze in a box in the back of the car..
  14. I will be enjoying the early morning drive to the meeting point. See you guys on Saturday.
  15. Congratulations @Benje_Junior. This is a beautiful phase to your off-road journey. Wish you good luck.
  16. Congratulations @davie c smooth operator. You are definitely one of the finest leads that Carnity has produced. Starting from your briefing, to route planning to the execution, the friendly banter and to top it off a very cool head even in situations. Wish you all the best on the new journey. This is just the end of the beginning. The journey of exploration and finding new places, doing different things start from here. Congratulations

  18. I only guarantee take offs at Al Ain airport or the dunes close to that area.
  19. @Abhilash Kottakkal I can't exactly say that. But what I can say is that this will be a big jump from FB level, so if you are still working on your skills it might be a good idea to practice them a bit more before joining this drive. The choice is yours.
