hi guys, i am wondering if the market is safe enough to buy a used porsche boxster .. i know i know not an ideal thing to do .. such an expensive car and being second hand just ruins it but i think im getting a really good price for it and dont think a first hand would ever come close very soon. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Just took my 2007 Cayman S to the dealer for it's second change of shifter cables. The first time it happened the car barely had 5,000 miles on it. Was under warranty then because it was less than six months old. I generally take good care of my vehicles and keep them in good shape so this is the first time this has happened to me. Will get the final bill by tomorrow. The car's no longer under warranty as I am at 42,335 miles now.

Umm ... now I am thinking it cud also be a problem with the IMS. might as well look that up as well. let me know if you need any help on that thanks.

Haha. Happened with my 05 once. My mechanic said the water pump seal was to blame which he replaced. Nothing with the clamps of hoses or anything of the sort.
