  1. AC recharging is not a small process. You need an expert guidance and a complete AC recharge kit which is quite expensive. Also, you need to check if your car has R134 refrigerant. If not, the recharge is not possible.
  2. Well I really don’t know what to say. I mean the dealers were sometimes really nice. Whenever my car had a small service like oil change, servicing etc., they were really accurate. But when one time the catalytic converter failed and had to replace it, they took so much time. So I think with the common repairs and issues, they are really nice. But if something big or uncommon thing comes up, they are really slow as if they are learning first and doing it
  3. What I know about the humming noises is that it is because of some lose bolted accessory in the car. If the humming is from engine, then may be any of the part is loosely bolter. If from the seat or any other interiors part, then same issue.
  4. Toyota Aurion, I heard is one of the best selling cars of Toyota. Is it so? Can anyone tell me more about this car? I mean about the features and reliability of the car? I want to buy a car for my mother and she loves the looks of this car. I have been a Mercedes owner, so not sure about Toyota.
  5. How does the brake fluid go low in the car? Why does this happen?
  6. I hate Peugeot dealers! Just the two days after I bought this car, there was raking noise form the engine. Sometimes the AC doesn’t work. And recently, the coolant started leaking and they told me that they have to get the radiator replaced. My car is at the dealer most of the times. Now I think I made a wrong decision to buy this car. I bought this car for my wife, but she is still travelling my Metro even when I bought her the car. Ridiculous! What’s the point of buying such a car?
  7. Can I replace the alternator on my own without taking a help from an expert?
  8. Hey people. I have an interesting question. Is it possible to find the electric short circuit in the car on our own? I mean without an expert helping out? If its possible, then how?
  9. Annoyed with the warranty dude. I bought this car almost 2 years ago. If there is any issue, the dealer doesnt cover anything in the warranty. I recently got the shaft fitted and they asked me to pay for it claiming that it is not covered under the warranty. This was shocking! Why did i bought this car then if the warranty is nothing but void?
  10. Heyall. The freeze plug in my car engine is leaking. no idea why. But can anyone tell me how to fix it. can i do it on my own or do i need to go to service station?
  11. Also never ignore the hot warning Lamp. Most of the engine suffer serious damages if the waning lamp becomes very hot. I suffered the same and I remember i paid lot of money to fix everything.
  12. Please never ignore the leaky coolant reservoir. Whenever there is a coolant reservoir leak, the system will always get overheat. In order to stop the leak one can use the silicon sealer to avoid the overflow of coolant from the reservoir. But if the reservoir needs to be replaces, then don't get lazy to do that otherwise soon the engine will be overheated. Also, make sure that the hoses between the radiator and the reservoir are routed correctly.
  13. Sure. Connect the voltmeter to the battery. Make sure that you connect the positive terminal of the voltmeter to the positive terminal of the battery. And do the same with the negative terminal of the voltmeter. Then note the reading on the voltmeter. And this is how you take the reading of the battery. And you can do that on your own as well, but make sure that the engine and all the lights in the car are off when you do the test.
  14. You can use the digital voltmeter to test the battery.
  15. I read once in an auto magazine about the common reasons of no start in a car. And i remember some of them: 1. When the battery is out of charge or low. 2. If the battery cables are loose. 3. if the ground connections are not clean or loose. 4. If the relay has high voltage. 5. failure of ignition switch I know these common reasons.
  16. well as it is said, all actions have equal and oppositve reaction. In the same way, when you are pressing the break and if you experience that the reaction of the same taking time and breaks taking more than 3 seconds to react, then probably you should get your break pads changed.
  17. When doing compression test the preliminary things to bear in mind- 1. Check the fuel pump & fuel-injection fuses, 2. Remove the spark plug and disconnect the main wire to the coil, 3. Place your hand on the spark plug hole threaded end. 4. Turn the ignition and crank the engine couple of times in a stable reading; if you are not sure about this, do take your engine to a authorized service station and get it done.
  18. Im Ronald and I became a fan of Porsche, only after experiencing a minor comfort. If you ever noticed in a Porsche, one you get the body, hand, and arm position adjusted, you will find the gear level falls perfectly to hand. I have not experienced this in my 3 earlier cars
