  1. Fuel efficiency is determined by the different engine combinations offered by car brands but at the end of the day everyone has to agree that fuel efficiency majorly depends on the driver's skills and behavior of driving. Fullstop.
  2. Yes the updates are on the Toyota Nav Site and there is a facility to receive a CD after searching for the map. Dnt know if the facility is applicable in the UAE. Try contacting the reps at toyota?
  3. you need to find a CD with the updated maps that you can insert in your CD drive. The nav system automatically detects the upgrade and installs.
  4. I need to save this page in my favorites - very nice and clear-cut explanation. Good job rex! Thanks.
  5. Hello everyone, I am attempting to remove the seats from my yaris so that I can have the bottom of the car cleaned etc. This will be my first time to do that so can someone tell me how to do it on my own? Umm do I need some tools? much appreciated
  6. If the speakers are sounding a bit weird ... (the way you described them) then treat the problem like any other speakers might have .. like at home or office. Its prolly a bad or damaged wiring. There is nothing wrong with the car system or audio system itself. What happens is that the wires are damaged from some place that the sound seems to be distorted or broken off like the way you are mentioning it as.
  7. There are cleaning discs available in the market which will help clean your CD player's lens. If there is dirt or dust stuck on it, it will be removed and your CD player MIGHT start working. just insert the cleaning CD in your player and press play and let the CD finish its job. Sometimes this is why your CD player is not reading your CD. Apart from that you can also try turning it on while the car is in a cool place. I used to experience this problem ... when the car was sitting at a heated place for too long ... the CD player heated up and did not work. Good luck
  8. I had a toyota avalon and unfortunately got into an accident where the front grill was damaged ... i had to get it replaced and the process became a nightmare! so be careful of taking care of your car ... but i absolutely loved the look of my car and part of it was due to THAT grill. it gave the car a very aggressive look so hope you do go ahead with this car!
  9. Hi there, Well you might feel that way due to the low top ... first of all instead of introducing modifications to your toyota FJ cruiser you should minus them instead. Secondly, you can also take the backseats out if the front ones are enough for you. After you take the backseats out ... you will have plenty of room for those 'my-modifications' and the so-called stuffiness will go away
  10. you go to sharjah they have so many.
