  1. I work for a KIA / Isuzu dealership, and i can tell you that you will need to service your KIA regularly (at an approved KIA servicing center) or you can void your engine warranty. We had a client in yesterday who had her KIA previously serviced with engine oil, filters etc from an unapproved servicing center who did not use genuine parts. We gladly inspected her vehicle for her, but as she left the service manager exclaimed how she had just lost the warranty on her new vehicle by going elsewhere and using non-genuine parts and lubricants not to KIA specification. She will only find this out if she attempts to claim in the future on her vehicle. It might be prudent to check if your vehicle is still under KIA warranty and then get it serviced regularly to maintain it. (I can also add that for different models, there are different components changed and checked etc depending on the kilometers your vehicle has done )
  2. Great to read these posts and find this forum! I have just bought an A3 and pick it up next weekend. To say I am excited is an understatement. I conducted a lot of research before deciding on a car to buy. I needed a smaller five door hatch, that was easy to park, had great fuel economy and good visibility from the inside of the vehicle. Being short in stature I find it very hard to comfortably see out of the windows of most hatches, making intersections rather nerve wracking! We decided on the 2008 A3 1.4L Turbo (TFSI). I have only read good things about them, apparently they rival the diesel Corolla in fuel efficiency!?
