👉 CLICK HERE FOR THE OFFICAL WEBSITE EVENT DESCRIPTION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY WHEN SIGNING UP On Sunday, October 26, 2025, over 100 vehicles from clubs across the UAE will form an iconic pink ribbon in Sweihan Desert, captured by aerial drone and shared across the nation. This is our community's opportunity to show that we stand together for causes that save lives. Paint the Desert Pink is a non-profit community initiative created by volunteers from across the UAE off-road community. They are officially recognized by The Pink Caravan, a charity under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi that has provided over 80,000 free breast cancer screenings across the UAE. As Carnity, we are proud to participate in this event and will be organizing an off-road drive in the Sweihan area with several convoys! Below you can find the event schedule: TIME SCHEDULE 05:15AM - Arrival at Sweihan Base Camp. Vehicle preparation and decoration in pink. 06:00 AM - Formation - Club convoys line up. All vehicles forming a "PINK RIBBON" for aerial drone capture. 07:15 AM - Desert Drive - Several Carnity convoys with different drive levels. 09:45 AM - Return to Base Camp Sweihan and head to Dubai. 12:00 PM - Arrive at Dubai venue, where food and drinks will be provided, awards ceremony, raffle draw, and networking until 2:30 PM. (Optional but recommended). COST TO JOIN This event is 100% non-profit, but to ensure the organization can cover their cost of lunch/drinks, t-shirts, ribbons, and venue, they asked each member to contribute 100AED. This should be handed over in cash to the Carnity lead of your convoy the same morning, and if there is a remaining positive balance for the organization, this will entirely go to the Pink Caravan charity donation account. DONATION This is not mandatory but of course deeply appreciated. They have provided a link for donation. This can be done online by clicking on below link: 👉SUPPORT THE PINK CARAVAN BY DONATING Competitions & Prizes during the event, which will be announced at the Dubai venue: Best Dressed Male/Female. Best Decorated Vehicle. AED 10,000 raffle. Why Do You Get Stuck More on Some Days Than Others?
Frederic replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
this reconfirms again that our "gut" feeling is extremely crucial in off-roading. I have told to a few people already that i've had a few experiences in the North of UAE dunes where my gut told me not to cross a specific dune. In both cases upon crossing that dune a bit further away i could spot a large tree on the other side. So there is definitely something at play in the desert Of course there are also times that the desert is giving us a nice surprise, but luckily @Srikumarwas there to pull me back in reverse 😁 -
Why Do You Get Stuck More on Some Days Than Others?
Frederic replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
Very good topic @Gaurav. In my case it's mostly whenever i feel that i am not relaxed behind the wheel that everything becomes so much more difficult: you start to overthink and hesitate on dune crossings, resulting in refusals and/or stucks. In a relaxed state of mind your mind should flow together with how your car is flowing through the dunes. No worries on your mind and listening to what the car can do for you. The desert itself tells you everything you need but we need to tune in to its frequency.. -

Gaia GPS For Beginners - 2024 Update
Frederic replied to Frederic's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
Ah yes! It will give you some headache to set it up, but it's totally worth it from a planning perspective. The mobile app however is not that great.
