  1. Hey @Soufiane! No worries I’ll bring spare radios. The camping site will most probably be on hard sand (not wadi or rocks).
  2. you can record it tomorrow, because the two routes i posted won't be completely accurate.
  3. Hahaha, great to see people asking for it, as it means you guys are self-reliant and learning the navigation parts of it. See attached. Small variations will be there based on the timing and progress, and Day one will end a bit earlier where will camp on that big flat Savanna in front of Maliha.
  4. The LC300 with 110l should be fine, but yes if you can bring an extra jerrycan that would be great. Regarding the food: 1. Lunch we can take from the ADNOC nearby Masafi Friday market. At least that's my plan. However anything is possible and there could be certain closure times for National Day, hence i would recommend to pack sandwiches and some snacks as well. 2. Dinner Day 1 we will be not too far away from an ADNOC: https://maps.app.goo.gl/9XqFihDK5fukrLZC8 approx 10mins drive. Based on the time we arrive there we can either first drive to the ADNOC together and then make our way to the camp site. (yellow marked area is camp site) 3. Breakfast day two. Better take some snacks, croissants, from the ADNOC the evening before. 4. Lunch Day two we should hopefully reach Faqa (Dubai) which also has an ADNOC. 5. Reaching our end destination by 3-4pm in Ajban INSHALLAH
  5. Hi @Ahmed Farouk the Pajero has a relatively big fuel tank, so you should be fine but will definitely need to refuel in the evening once we reach the camping site.
  6. Goodmorning All ! @Alphin Aloor@AlexM@Jaro Tuzinsky@Soufiane@Damian@sohinik@Ahmed Farouk@Srikumar @Dan S Thanks for signing up for this event, and a warm Thank You for your donation to Tarahum for Gaza. Some important practicalities for tomorrow: 1. E11 (Sheikh Zayed Road) will be closed, so better to avoid by taking the E311 or even better, the E611. 2. Last petrol station before reaching the meeting point via E611 is here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/iHYq37m5MjMPi5ss6 3. Make sure to arrive with a full gas tank and 20l extra jerrycan (unless if you have a sub-tank in your car then no need). 4. The meeting point is only our meet and greet point. So don't deflate or put your flag up yet. Please park parallel to the road so we don't disturb traffic flow. 5. We will be using Carnity Channel 2: 446.031 Mhz. If you do not have a radio yet i will bring some spare radios you can use for this event. 6. We will be mostly off-road, either in the mountains, dunes, or wadis, so there will be limited to no access to any public toilets. However, we plan to camp not too far away from a road that leads us to an ADNOC so that could help to freshen up and restock our cooler. We can potentially have our lunch as well nearby an Adnoc. 7. Make sure to get plenty of rest. Driving for two full days with keeping focus on the off-roading aspect can be very tiring for yourself and passengers. However fun this event will be, the focus is on getting home back safely. 8. I will bring a small firepit so we can make a fire. Fire on the sand itself is not allowed. 8. In case of any emergency, my number is 0 5 6 5 0 4 2 6 3 2 I will make the convoy list and order later today. Wishing you all a good start of the weekend.
  7. I have a spare flag with suction cup. Will bring it along, no worries.
  8. @PETELCZYC PAJERO - lukeis dreaming about getting LC70 now The only issue is see with them in stock version is that the rear axle is more narrow than the front axle, which makes it a bit tricky for off-roading on higher levels (more prone to roll over). On 2door this is especially a topic. From what i have seen most off-roaders solve this by changing the rims to a wider off-set in combination with spacers to have a nice wide footprint. Apart from that.... LOVELY and LEGENDARY offroader.
  9. Welcome to Carnity @Vladimir BMS ! Impressive 4x4 you have there ! Feel free to join our off-road club and explore the UAE with us !
  10. Hi @Damian Dragonmart is the place for a radio, either get the Crony/Motorola MT777 or the Baofeng UV5R. You can also order online at edragonmall.com. Instructions on how to program the radio can be found here: Two Way Radio Guideline With regards to bringing family members, of course they are welcome to join in. Be aware we will be doing around 350kms offroad in two days, which might be tiring for yourself and passengers. If they are used to it then no issue of course PS there will be also limited to no toilets around. I hope we can find a camping spot that's not too far away from a main road where we can refuel and refresh. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome @Ahmed Farouk !
