  1. Hi @Nacho I see you got a spot in Pancho's drive, do you still want to stay in the waitlist on this drive ?
  2. DRIVE REPORT A big moment for me on Friday .... My first newbie lead .... Slightly nervous and I didn't sleep well the night before .... It was good to see that everyone reached the meeting point on time and all the drivers turned up. I didn't know most of them and I always find it nice to get to know new people. I was also suprised to see a lady driver @kolinrrj ! There are not a lot of ladies in the club so I get excited when I see some more of us turning up. Once everyone was deflated and put their flags up, I did a briefing, radio check and we were ready to start. That was also the moment the nerves went away and I relaxed .... I started a bit slowly just to see how everyone was reacting but there were no troubles so I scaled up the level a little bit. At one point we reached the bowls on the left side of the 2nd December cafeteria and that was where some of the drivers found it a little challenging. The slopes were quite steep and once you got down in the bowl you got to give it gas again to climb up the other side ... @Tamas Hoffmann was brilliant in leading everyone out of the bowls and helping with a few recoveries. We proceeded the drive up to Pink Rock where everyone got the chance to drive up and over PR and got a bit of a thrill. Every car managed to drive over it without too many troubles except for @Sandeep Subhash, we all thought that the horses in his car died but apparantly the brake paddle was a bit sticky so I didn't matter how much gas he gave, the car didn't make it up .... Also @Carlos Fernandez his car was acting a little funny, he was not driving smoothly but was more bouncing in the sand. I hope you found out what the problem was and got it fixed. After coming down from PR, we drove around it through some more tricky bowls, got on the track and went to the exit at 2nd December cafetaria .... Everyone did amazingly well with a minimum of refusals and stucks and I think everybody had a good time. I want to thank @Srikumar @Anvar Sadath Bekal and @Tamas Hoffmann for their wonderful support and I hope to see you all very soon in the desert !

  9. Drive report The challenge began this morning already on the way to the meeting point. It was very foggy and the visibility was pretty bad. I expected some delays from the drivers to reach the meeting point but surprisingly everyone made it on time .... I decided to wait until there was light to start moving and I also hope the fog would clear up as soon as the sun came up but that was not happening. We started moving around 7am and the further we went into the dunes, the worse the visibility became. After about a half an hour into the drive, @Arman announced on the radio that his car had a pop-out so we quickly fixed that and remained our drive. Because of the fog, the sand was wet and hard on top but very soft underneath so it was a tricky terrain to tackle this morning. It also didn't help that I took everyone through some very technical dunes. We had a few refusals, stucks, crests and another pop-out along the way but all in all we had good fun, some amazing team work and a few good laughs. @Jack Thomas did very well as my second lead although he said he was a bit nervous this morning, getting this responsibility. @Atif, @Rajeevan Vickneswaran and @Rizwanm2, thank you so much for all your help shoveling, tugging, fixing pop-outs and keeping the convoy together. Also @Jon M had a bit of a taste of recovering, he had to use the rope twice to give a tug so he was happy ! It was @varunmehndiratta first fewbie drive and he did amazingly well. @Vineeth John Joseph, always a pleasure to have you in my convoy, I don't hear you a lot but that only means that you don't have any problems .... Everyone, well done and I hope to see you again soon !

  14. Drive report It was quite chilly this morning and the heavy wind made it even feel colder than it was. I was happy to have my hoodie en my scarf with me and I had my seat warmers on in the car .... Once everyone arrived and deflated, I did a quick briefing and we started to move. I explained in my briefing that we were going to do some technical terrain first, then a few kilometers on a dirt track before we would reach Faya. We had no issues at all in Suweydan and could keep a good pace so we reached Faya after 1 hour. Luckily it was very quiet at Faya so everyone had a turn to try and make it all the way up from the front. @Salarios @Yusuf Esaf @AlexPol @Jack Thomas @Nivin @Vineeth John Joseph @Karthik Krishnakumar and even @Jon M with the Montero Sport made it up ! He was very impressed with his car and he had a smile from 1 ear to the other !! The 3 Pajero's all had a try but couldn't make it and @Ranjan Das missed a few horses I'm afraid or maybe it was the very heavy tyres on his car, he was a bit disappointed he couldn't make it up but he will make it one day .... After a while, we saw @sertac convoy approaching so we made space and moved on to the bowls behind Faya. It was getting a little more busy in the area with a lot of different other convoys so we had to be careful. Everyone drove very well in and out the bowls and we didn't have any mayor issue just a few refusals which could be handled very easily. After last week's drive with a lot of shoveling, I didn't have to take out my shovel this week ! Thank you @Nivin and @Salarios for all your guidance over the radio, I was lucky to have such good support. I think everyone had a lot of fun, I sure did have a lot of fun, and I hope to see everyone again very soon .....
