  4. @Desert Wrangler @Anton Dimov @Quresh Motiwala @Vishu Korgaonkar @Ron.P @Mathew Abraham @Juan Carlos Prego Perez @Amro Aydin @Ria John @Antony Abraham @Joao It was very nice to meet you all yesterday. We had an amazing morning with lots of learning opportunities and shoveling, tugging and winching. That is the kind of drives that @Srikumar and I as seniors love the most, especially if we all work together as a team and we are putting our heads together to try the best solutions of getting cars out of stucks and refusals. You all did very well and I am very proud of every one of you. You all gave it your best ! I especially wanted to thank Goutam aka @Looper too for all his help with the recoveries ! At the end of the drive, my Big Blue unfortunately gave up but with the help of my wonderful husband, we got her fixed again and I was able to drive my car out of the desert .... Moving forward you all will be joining the Newbie drives and not an Absolute Newbie drive anymore. Drives are announced every Sunday at 11 am, and they go live on Sunday at 7:00 pm. Due to the high demand, these drives get full in about 10 minutes, so please be online at 7 pm to book your spot. If you miss a spot, put your name on the waitlist asap. Generally, by Thursday with dropouts everyone does get a spot if they have waitlisted. For the next drives, please bring along a deflator, pressure gauge, flag, compressor and radio as a MANDATORY requirement. 5. Welcome @Quresh Motiwala I would advise you to come alone on your first drive, especially when you don't have any previous experience. The less distraction in the car, the better. You can bring your family on your next drive if you want.
  6. You can find most of the off road gear in ACE except for a radio but you can use a spare radio for your first drive tomorrow.

  8. @AMBATI you already completed your absolute newbie drive with Alessandro in August. Please sign out of this drive and join a newbie drive instead.
  9. I would advise you to come alone on your first drive, especially if you don't have any previous experience. The less distraction in the car, the better. You can bring your family on your next drive if you want.
  10. Hi @Vishu Korgaonkar it's not a problem if you don't have a compressor on the first drive. I always have a spare one that you can use. There are many compressors out on the market at the moment but it depends on your budget which one you want to purchase. I can give you some advise after the drive on Friday if you want. There is also a topic on the website that gives you idea of the kind of compressors you can get.
  11. For the first drive, I can give you one of my spare radios if you didn't have the chance to get one yet.
  12. @Joao @Nancy Ntasiakli @Desert Wrangler @Amro Aydin @Ria John Welcome to Carnity Offroad Club ! I am looking forward to meet you all on Friday. As this will be your first drive with us, i would like to ask you the following things: 1) Please introduce yourselves a bit: which 4x4 are you bringing, do you have any prior experience, and please confirm that your car has front and rear towpoints that are in good condition as well. 2) Please bring at the minimum a pressure gauge with tyre deflator, and air compressor to the drive this Friday, so you can deflate the tyres when you arrive, and re-inflate them again after the drive. If you have an offroad flag, programmed radio, and other equipment already then of course you are welcome to bring them along. 3) Please watch the Absolute Newbie Briefing video with your full attention. This one covers most of the basics and will definitely help you in being more comfortable for your first offroad drive. MUST WATCH: NEWBIE VIDEO BRIEFING Some more useful tutorials: If you have any questions prior to the drive, you can use this drive topic to post them. We will do our best to help you out.
  13. @Vishal Nair when you have transmission overheating problems, the first thing you need to check is if your transmission oil needs to be replaced. If that is not the issue, try to drive in manuel gear so you don't shift gears as much as in automatic gear. If you still have issues, you will have to place an extra fan.
  14. I did the Yellow truck drive last year with @Asif Hussain and it was amazing !! Unfortunately it's a bit too soon after my back surgery now to join but if I get the chance again in a few months, I will definitely go back ! I find it even better than the real Liwa. The dunes are huge and the terrain is wonderful ..... I would highly recommend everyone who can join to take the opportunity.
