  1. No doubt a fixed mount will be long lasting and bear the brunt of off roading, especially with a heavier flag pole. One should always tighten the pole with a spanner or wrench, hand tightened poles (especially for the heavy AOR)tend to loosen on the drives which will damage the threads @M.Seidamhas used the sticky whimps for quite a long time on all levels .
  2. Will consider and discuss internally if we can schedule a time for the announcement of weekday drives. But frankly speaking, with leads from various backgrounds and work patterns, some might get to know their free schedule in a short span of time during which they intend to post a weekday drive. Hence the variation in announcement of weekday drives. TIA
  3. Hi @Mark Dolman You can get a AOR suction cup with a flag, which is pretty sturdy till IM drive when it tends to fall off . Another light weight and good option is a sticky whimps off road flag, comes with double suction cups and light weight flag that holds well. Both don't need any mounts , and come with their suction cups. Friends @Alex Raptor , @Russ, @Dodi Syahdar who drive a raptor, could help in guiding you with regards to flag mounts for raptor
  4. They are welcome. Do advise to check they dont feel motion sick in the dunes. Better to wear full trousers, covered shoes and not to come out near bushes to avoid creepers /bites in the dark. More information in the link below

I hope you all had a wonderful time learning the basics of off-roading which you will build on as you progress along. It is the start of a wonderful journey, which is a great stress buster every weekend exploring the natural beauty of desert. With an awesome winter ahead, it only gets better. We did learn how to feel and control your car on sand- hard, soft and supersoft in some areas. As this drive is an introduction, you will build and improve on these in more challenging terrains on further drives you join. Moving forward you all will be joining the Newbie drives and not an Absolute Newbie drive anymore. Drives are announced every Sunday at 11 am, and they go live on Sunday at 7:00 pm. Due to the high demand, these drives get full in about 10 minutes, so please be online at 7 pm to book your spot. If you miss a spot, put your name on the waitlist asap. Generally, by Thursday with dropouts everyone does get a spot if they have waitlisted. For the next drives, please bring along a deflator, pressure gauge, flag, compressor and radio as a MANDATORY requirement. Learn to deflate your tires and checking them precisely Learn to fix a flag on your car Learn to program and fully charge your radio MUST READ: Offroad Club Structure, Levels and Rules Off roading - Everything you need to know Transfer your previous off-road experience Mandatory Safety Requirements Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities Tire pressure deflation for off road driving Dune Crossing Tutorial and Techniques Emergency details for all off-roaders Off road Club Grading Structure V.3.0 Team Carnity Grading Structure V.1.0 Multicultural Off Road Club in UAE Carnity Off-road Certification Off road Driving Etiquette's Levels of Offroad Drive Off-road Convoy Rules Carnity Drive Notification Special word of thanks to @Jeepie and @GauravSoni for supporting this drive and many thanks for uploading some awesome pictures.
