  1. Dear friends , hasan hamadeh @hasan hamadeh arjumand @arjumand Haris Javed @Haris Javed Clay Neddo @Clay Neddo sachin suvarna @sachin suvarna Simon Ducos @Simon Ducos Roy Armale @Roy Armale Marwan Haddad @Marwan Haddad Vikas Bhatia @Vikas Bhatia Neil Jarman @Neil Jarman Roy Dsouza @Roy Dsouza Lorenzo Candelpergher @Lorenzo Candelpergher Brette @Brette Please note the convoy list for tomorrows drive below. Ensure you have read and agreed to Covid precautions, if not no drive. Thanks to all those who have done it already. Please ensure you arrive well in time so that we seniors at Carnity - myself, @Lorenzo Candelpergher and @Brette will personally check all the mandatory requirements for your cars and then guide you all in deflation and getting your cars prepped for what will be a wonderful start to your desert adventures in a covid safemanner. Ensure you step out of your cars with masks and keep social distance. Welcome 🙏 Please note some of you have nil, some little, some good and some excellent knowledge of offroading and hence considering a group/convoy we all have to get down to the level of the person driving with "nil" knowledge. Please be patient for a detailed discussion on safe practices, for recoveries and learning together. At Carnity it is always a team sport and we all - as much as we can - go in and out together. While we all are into this as a hobby , we are not certified mechanics and will advise you what to do the best of our knowledge- unbiased, in case if we have any situation which is beyond our control. It has happened very very rarely, so lets not really worry of that as of now. Bring your off - road gears - whatever you have in terms of deflator, flag, suction cups, radio , compressor, shovel and a Radio. The most important being compressor as the air compressor at Last exit is generally out of order or extremely super slow. I will be waiting exactly at the location shared - in a Black Xterra with hazard lights on, watch out for this old Car . Lorenzo with his Black Rubicon will be a bit further up into the dirt track from where we will actually have a briefing and start off the drive. We will use Chanel 1 for Radio coms My contact number in case if you need is 0529970964. See you all tomorrow
  2. Dear friends @sachin suvarna, @Simon Ducos, @Haris Javed @Vikas Bhatia @Marwan Haddad @Roy Dsouza @hasan hamadeh Please open the below link and agree to follow the COVID precautions - Mandatory, without which you will not be allowed to drive COVID19 PRECAUTIONS 2.0 - Discussions - Carnity.com Open Link Go to First Message and read Click the two thumbs up icon , after reading the precautions to be followed. I see @Roy Armale, @Neil Jarman, @Clay Neddo and @arjumand have done it , Thank you. Thanks @Gaurav and @Srikumar for advise on Clutch use in manual cars. @Neil Jarman now you have a close buddy with tons of info and drives a Jeep XJ. The difference being only X to Y🤣 Convoy list will Follow shortly.
  3. That should be good as of now but as you know the real test for any car will be out there on the sands . Once you arrive at the starting point either myself or one of the seniors will check . Thanks for your prompt response buddy.
  4. Thanks @Neil Jarman and welcome to Carnity. Please get acquainted with the gears - 4high and 4 low, just wondering if it is manual or automatic? and make sure the car is desert ready, all fluids and radiators checked thoroughly. It is blazing hot out there and hence u need to be sure.
  5. Thank you. @arjumand , you need to inform Do you have any prior off road experience? Have you agreed to COVID precaution ? Open link below and click totally agree COVID19 PRECAUTIONS 2.0 - Discussions - Carnity.com
  6. Thanks for a prompt response @Vikas Bhatia. Well, you cannot imagine my happiness now as I realize yours is not the "egg" shaped pathy running now 🤣. Considering tomorrow is a working day, in any case if you are unable to fetch Deflator Kit, Compressor, Flag and Walkie Talkie, let me know. I will provide a spare radio - but for only this ride. Remember the compressor at Qudra parking is very very slow, and most of the times out of service. So it helps to carry your compressor - atleast. See you on Friday
  7. Dear @Vikas Bhatia please update your car - which pathfinder. And do respond weather - you have prior off road gears - front and rear tow or recovery points in good condition - agree the covid precautions- mandatory
  8. Dear @Ahab Shamaa This drive is for first timers with Carnity .Manage rsvp is for support team only, if you wish to join you can apply online which will be reviewed and informed to you. Please remove your RSVP and join drives for your rank. Thanks and appreciate your understanding. Thanks @arjumand. Please confirm front and rear tow hooks/recovery points or eyelets are present and in good condition. Thanks
  9. @Werno congratulations, well done. Bring on the next level
  10. @Nathan Evans congratulations, you are an epitome to challenge with that beautiful Jimny of yours. Fantastico 👍🙏
  11. Thank you for responding dear friends @hasan hamadeh @Haris Javed @Clay Neddo @sachin suvarna @Roy Armale @Marwan Haddad Keep looking for more notifications by Thursday. Whenever possible please see the newbie video to keep the basics in mind, it comes with some practice as you drive along but always better to be informed. Please ensure your car is in the best of conditions as summer in blazing and cars tend to heat up pretty quickly. @arjumand and @Simon Ducos awaiting your response for Do you have any prior off-road experience? Does your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks / eyelets in good working condition.? Without front and rear tow hooks/eyelets or recovery points in good conditions you will not be allowed to join the drive.
  12. Well done everyone @Thomas Varghese, @Russ, @Werno, @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil, @Darren Brooke, @Lakshmi Narasimhan, @Danish Mohammad, @M.Seidam , @GauravSoni, we all enjoyed all the challenges at night. @PaoloMaraziti just relax, don't come to any conclusions . Probably you can start with NB drives in the dark, get more used to the alterations and then join FB drives which are faster. The terrain from Pink Rock to Big Red is a bit of a roller coaster so some tend to feel motion sick. Other areas which are similar are Area 53, Shuaib and Badayer. So refrain from these areas (which tend to be a roller coaster kind of ride with a fab convoy like yesterday where hardly anyone slows down), then slowly build the practice. Hopefully you should get used to , if not then you make a informed decision . @Shaaz Sha thanks for the wonderful support @Lorenzo Candelpergher beautiful drive with a enthusiastic group absolutely agree with everything in your report. Thank you After driving the FJ out and coming back in a plush Rubicon , I was a bit weary sitting back in my X-Terractor🤣
  13. Dear Friends @hasan hamadeh @arjumand @Haris Javed @Clay Neddo @sachin suvarna @Simon Ducos Please respond to the above post, we need this information for planning this drive accordingly. Most important being that you inform us if: you have any prior off-road experience your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks / eyelets in good working condition. Thanks
