It will almost be like a newbie drive. Obviously because we are going a fair bit into the dives we must secure everything properly.

DRIVE PLAN First time when I descended into the Ghafteen Bowl a couple of years ago the first thought I had was it is a great spot for camping. Flat on the ground, covered by an amphitheater like bowl, where the sun will rise a bit late. So, let's start the camping season with our first drive & camp this Saturday afternoon. Though it is a FB drive, it will be an easy drive throughout. You are obviously welcome to bring your family including kids and their toys. We will reach into the bowl around 6 p.m. just about the sunset time, so that we will have some light for us to set up the tents. Bring your own food and drinks, but we will sit all together either at the screen or at the bonfire in one / two big circles. We will have a movie night; I would ask for suggestions from all the participants (PG 13 at max). We will have a bon fire depending on the temperature because the winter is still not cold enough for but will try. The Music / Movie etc. though Speakes will be cut off at 12:00 am midnight but participants are welcome to have lively discussions into the night. However please keep it civil and be considerate to the children who should be sleeping. It was a usual bumpy ride that Badayer offers, but we started the drive with a great view of the sunrise. We climbed both Iftar Bowl and Super Bowl. In total we did ~ 58 km in 3 hours. thank you @Marek, @Mahesh_, @Cristian , @Mahmoud Taha for joining the drive.

Yeah it is same.

Last week we drove for DCT. It was a fascinating area up from Ghafteen Bowl down south in a straight line. Very challenging; doesn’t seem like that in the videos but, very technical but in between tall dunes. It will be a drive I would again in the near future. Towards the end my car engine got busted. 😭 had a crank case oil leak (Edit).

The Nahel fuel station is near to the starting point but needs an illegal turn. For all who are coming from E66 please fill up at Al Hayer, there is however anew ENOC station on E20 few km before the meeting point. If you are coming from Truck Roan E75, then fill up at Sweihan. The entrance to the starting point has been found to be waterlogged. You may want to be on the left bank of the puddle and enter straight ahead. We will attempt to start the drive at 6:00 am sharp, so request you to be present few min earlier and be ready to drive off at 6:00, and latecomers will find a desolate starting point. The drive duration will be approx. 3 hours. with half hour of break, and we will make a lot of loops. The convoy order will be posted on the drive Friday afternoon. Please make sure you exit the drive in case you are not able to make it. Be good at club etiquettes and don't be a no show.
