  1. @DANIEL NOGUEIRA, if I were driving a Meatloaf like you are, I wouldn’t poke fun at a Kaiju! After all, the Japanese still perform Harakiri, and can go Kamikaze when needed 🤣 Question: How can you tell a dodge was in the parking lot? Answer: By the puddle of oil it left behind 🤣
  2. @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ, @DANIEL NOGUEIRA, @Gaurav &@Srikumar; ya’ll are bad 🤪 This thread reminds me of the movie ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ where they say: “We all started as something else” We started with a number of us practically begging to join this drive, and ended up pitting my beloved adoptive country against the land of the rising sun 😀 Well, in the challenge regard, I say hold your horses, as it’s a no go 😀 First off, my Kaiju, even though she’s a looker 😍 and I love her, is no match for the powerful V8 Ram💪🏻 Secondly, you’re facing off a fat, middle aged phone salesman (me), against a Jujitsu master, a surfer and and a sportsman! Again, no match there 😀 Daniel is simply a better driver than I am. I’ve seen him do climbs and ride ridges like Mad Max! I on the other hand, am the definition of chicken 😂 So ladies and gentlemen, there will be no showdown this coming Saturday. I think I’ll be joining Miki and @Gaurav in popcorn consumption activities, while watching the rest of you do amazing things on the sand😀 @Lorenzo Candelpergher, sorry to hear about your computer issues. I’m normally a patient man, but my daughter was with me on the “drone drive”, and asks me about the footage daily. So I’m just projecting my pain here brother 😂 See ya’ll on the sand Saturday 😍
  3. Congratulations @Luca Palanca Falsini! Well deserved my friend 😀 Of course, some of the credit goes to your lovely car 🤣 See you soon on the sand!
  4. ¡@Veedooshee! Félicitations on your promotion; well deserved! 👏🏻 You’re definitely a great, calculating and cool headed driver 😀 Keep it up and you’ll soon be leading your own convoy with Carnity 😀 See you and @Anish S on the sand very soon!
  5. Wow! The Carnity marshals are too good to us! Thank you guys for opening up a second drive and accommodating the people on the waitlist 🙏🏻 @Gaurav, @Wrangeld and @Lorenzo Candelpergher, thank you very much! Also, thanks to my fellow Carnity drivers for signing up in big numbers to warrant a second drive 👏🏻 Now that we’re done with the niceties, let’s get down to business.@Lorenzo Candelpergher, I’m warning you from now, I’m going to get stuck on every dune of this drive, and call on you to rescue me (lots of work), unless of course you release the drone video you shot of us a few weeks back 🤣 I’m telling you, I might even have a pop-out, and we’d have to use you extensive mobile Speedex shop 😂 @Rahimdad Superman, I hope to see you soon brother for some extra laughs 😀 🙏🏻
  6. @Mohamed Seidam, I bet you’re a great doctor, and no wonder you are a doctor! ¡Such meticulousness on the car! I can only imagine how your work on us mere humans 😀 Thanks for the oil tip. I’ll ask the dealership to use that oil going forward. @Niki Patel, great points you bring up. Let’s find out as much as we can on this and share here. You’re gonna have to do the heavy lifting on this brother; I’m leaving to Houston on the 3rd 😂
  7. That’s a great tip and great info @Gaurav. I will do that going forward... Question: for those of us who use the dealer every 10k for service, would we then shorten the dealer service visits to every 6k? Or do we change oil/fluids every 6k and then still go to the dealers every 10k for regular service (filter cleaning, brake check, AC filter, etc)? ¡Now I’m confusing myself! I don’t have the mental propensity to process such complex matters 🤣
  8. Whoa! @Gaurav, That’s a complete second convoy 😀 Now, we just need one of the Carnity leaders to volunteer and lead the second convoy 🙏🏻 @DANIEL NOGUEIRA, worst case scenario, Muhammad and I will ride with you as passengers in the Ram🤣
  9. Habibi Dr. Seidam @Mohamed Seidam! The pleasure is all mine 😀 Thanks for all that you do for the club, and for your fellow drivers. You’re a wealth of knowledge and information 💪🏻 I hope to see you on the sand real soon!
  10. The show and tell is a great idea @Niki Patel 😀👍🏻 I believe that we will all benefit greatly from it. My next imminent upgrade is a better suspension. The fox suspension that came on my car is entry level and I’m not too impressed by it. With that, any tips on this upgrade would be highly welcome 🙏🏻 Now, I’m gonna go look up the OME 51s because I have no idea what that is 🤪
  11. This drive proves the proverbs, “you snooze, you lose”; and, “the early bird gets the worm” 🤣
  12. @Niki Patel, well deserved brother! I am very happy to see you advance so quickly! Of course, you don’t get any credit for your promotion, just like I didn’t in mine... Our promotions are all the doing of our beloved Kaijus 🤣 Go Niki, go FJCs! 💪🏻
  13. What a wonderful drive this was! I enjoyed every minute of it, and the different nature of the RAK desert made it all the more interesting. Everyone drove so well and everyone was in high spirits I was happy to reconnect with old friends and finally meet up with friends whom I’ve never met in person, but rather through the Carnity Forum. Thanks @Ale Vallecchi & @Gaurav, for creating the second drive so that more people, including myself, can participate. Thanks @Wrangeld for putting in the hours to make a reconnaissance of this beautiful region, and a special thanks to @DANIEL NOGUEIRA, for asking Ale to expand the drive I was really impressed with our second lead @Niki Patel, who is a polite, responsive and responsible leader:) It was great to finally meet you Niki! I’m glad you’ve made it to Fewbie; now we have more drives to choose from:) @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ, I’m so impressed with your newly acquired driving skill You have improved so much since you and I were getting stuck very frequently 😂 I think your handsome son should get a go at your lovely Jeep soon! To all my fellow drivers, it was great meeting you and I look forward to seeing you soon on future drives. I have posted some random pictures of our drive; I hope you like them: https://www.amazon.com/photos/shared/D1LROdxuRT--VcBs_eKx7g.HLK_zXItpgBKZNQtghvIwf
  14. I absolutely loved our “in reverse” drive! And what I really loved the most, is all the lovely people I got to be acquainted with on the drive. I cannot wait till we’re rid of the Corona virus, and are able to socialize more on these drives. Imagine how much more memorable and enjoyable our experiences would be. In any event, no one despair please; I got it on good authority that I’m on Santa’s good list this year. As such, I’ve asked Santa for a Covid vaccine this year 🤣 So the solution is underway fellow drivers, and Santa’s game is afoot as he and his elves prepare the concoction in their north pole workshop😀 If you’re interested in sharing my gift, please don’t be late, line up at my gate, and don’t forget to deflate 🤣 @Foxtrot Oscar thanks for such a lovely track and for your endless positive energy. You’re a credit to Carnity and to your fellow drivers. Also thanks for entrusting me with second lead. It’s a big responsibility, but I loved it and I learned a lot from it. Mainly that I lead poor @Jose Martin the wrong way a few times 😂 @Brette, always solid, always supportive, always respectful and always willing to help. You’re just a cool person with great Karma 😀 @Craig Finlayson, thank you so much for sharing driving tips, drawing on your off road experiences and for supporting all of us. You were certainly a great voice to hear when I had my refusal 🙏🏻 @Malachy McGrogan, I promise I’ll make those breakfast wraps soon! You deserve them because you’re a great nice person, and because you’re an awesome driver. Always cool and collected 😎 To the rest of my fellow drivers, thank you for making the drive so enjoyable. Your spirits were high and that made the whole drive that much better 😀 Finally, @mywinch thank you for not letting me down in front of all those people. I’m gonna give you a good bath on Sunday 🤣 Happy holidays to all, and see you soon on the sand 😘
  15. Woohoo! That’s a great decision ya’ll made 😀 Thank you @Ale Vallecchi and @Gaurav for accommodating us 🙏🏻 @DANIEL NOGUEIRA, both convoys will meet up at your place for drinks after the drive 🤣
  16. Hey @Niki Patel, what a post! I’m not talking about your content, but rather your organization and pragmatism 😀 I wonder what you do for a living 🤔 Reading your post makes me wanna take a tour of our FJ to see how everything is tidy and well organized 🤣 In any event, I am by no means a guru, a savant, or even a wise and prudent man. I’m simply a sucker who uses his credit card to buy stuff for his car 😂. @Rahimdad quickly figured out that I’m a poser and simply referred to me as an FJ owner 🤣 Regarding the maintenance, I’ve been following the service intervals suggested in the owner’s manual. Even if I’m going off-road more than once a week, I don’t shorten the time between service visits. I do however, quite frequently (once week after off-road trips), blow out the dust/sand out of my air filter and check all my fluid levels. These Toyotas are designed to take a serious beating. There are FJs out in the world with a million+ kms on the odometer, that are still going strong 😀 Having said that, you’re still in the honeymoon phase I guess; and your extra care is understandable. Pretty soon you’ll be reaching out for the duct tape when you notice an oil leak under your car 🤣 On another tangent, if I get a slot on @Ale Vallecchi Saturday RAK drive, we’ll finally be meeting in person my Cruiser Brother 😍 Finally, @Ale Vallecchi, @Pickey Singh, @Niki Patel, @Heisem, @David Ortells, @Piotr Kolodziej, @Najeeb Mohammed, we have to come up with a cool name for our FJ band 😀 Yalla, yalla! As @Foxtrot Oscarwould say 😀 See you guys on the sand!
