  2. Dear dune surfers, thankyou for signing up for the drive! As I mentioned in the drive post, This is going to be a fast paced drive with an aim to reach Shuwaib which is 54 KM on a line on the planned route. This translates that we would be driving at least 100+ Km through the dunes to reach our destination. there would be no stopping for play areas and we will make it fun on the go. Long range drives ( which I experienced under @Ale Vallecchi leads) gave me a sense of satisfaction which is what I think all of you will feel at the end of the drive. Such drives require undivided attention and precision driving. I am already excited and eagerly waiting for the cool Saturday morning!
  3. Congratulations @Miguel Codes! well done. .see you soon on the drives!
  4. Well Done @TT_Dubai ! Congratulations and well deserved!.. You are a brilliant driver and team player. all leads are always glad to have you in the convoy and enjoy your company. Your positive attitude to learn, help and support the convoy as needed is an amazing side of your being an excellent driver as well.
  5. Drive Report: Apologies for the late post. WINTER IS HERE!! Thanks for joining this adventure. It was a pleasure to see the happy faces in the cool morning weather with convoy all ready to move. With a quick briefing, we got into the convoy positions and started to move westward finding way through some farm fences and first set of technical dunes. after a quick warmup, we found a nice slope for all of us to enjoy the sunrise and the beauty of the desert!. Once we started moving, the convoy responded exceptionally well following the tracks with ease and taking up on the challenging tight dunes between Murquab and Margham. After an hour of Smooth riding, while tugging out@Zulfikhar Naiyar from a crest, the mighty X went into Limp Mode and had to be tugged carefully down to the Flat area to investigate further. Fortunately @Nathan L had an OBD scanner which quickly identified the issue as "Throttle actuator Sensor fault". after resetting the error code, the X purred like a kitten but we could not risk a recurrence and exited the car to a nearest tarmac. Hope its not a major issue and fixed easily @Zulfikhar Naiyar. Thanks @TT_Dubai for careful tugs, @Nathan L @Looper for the support during the recovery. and to entire convoy for patience. as we moved forward, we decided to avoid the deep technical tracks as planned and find relatively open technical patches to drive towards out intended end point taking the D66 towards the last half hour. Brilliant driving from everyone @Jad Moussalli, @Nathan L, @Benjamin, @Emanuel @Adam James, @Patrick van der Loo, @Brett Eicher, & @Zulfikhar Naiyar. Kudos to @Jaro Tuzinsky for keeping up with the tracks and an almost perfect 2nd lead. Special thanks to @Looper for the support and the valuable guidance in the center of the convoy with couple of quick tugs and @TT_Dubai for anchoring the convoy at the sweep. It was a pleasure to meet new faces and greet the old ones. Hope to see you all on another drive soon. Until next time!

  9. Hi @Nathan L hope nothing serious and she is going to get well soon! My best wishes…. Yes you can opt out of drive and add yourself as waitlist.. alternatively you can remain in the drive and update your rsvp Friday afternoon..
  10. Hi @Sayed Bilal… I drove for a about 4 drives with a safari during which I used to remove two fuses from the engine compartment fuse box… that completely disabled the traction and abs.. not sure about the air bags… you can check the website for identifying the right ones https://fuseandrelay.com/nissan/patrol.html ofcourse having a kill switch is an advantage as in some stuck instances you may need to engage traction to get out..
  11. Hi @Patrick van der Loo you can always signup as waitlist and depending on the number of drivers by Friday, you could join the drive

  14. As imteeaz pointed out.. MRA are the top option with fully adjustable and rebuildable shocks.. Base option is like your stock suspensions but with slightly bigger shock diameter for better performance than stocks.. IMS - is stage 2 which is mono shock… MRR - is stage 3 which has an external reservoir but not adjustable MRA - is stage 4 which gives a complete control to change the behavior as per your driving style.. If u want a lift , and happy with stocks till now, then go for Base version.. (yellow colored) … else i would suggest to go for MRA…
  15. Hey @Mehmet Volga… after riding the dunes for about 100+ drives, I went for Dobinsons MRA suspensions with 30 mm spacers to avoid hitting the reservoir installed in the wheel arch… the car now sits at 2 inch lift with the heavy springs which kinda gives a good look overall.. The MRA’s is what Dobinson a refer as stage 4, with knobs provided to adjust the settings to make it hard/ soft. I personally have found a sweet spot setting for on and off road. Riding the ridges is more comfortable with good clearance and it can take those steep small steps we end up finding while leading.. one major change I felt is the reduced dashboard rattle on speeds >60 on the serrated sabka tracks😂.. i did crack one of my suspension bush which was replaced by the shop. These will get your pockets lighter by almost 8.5k along with spacers (H&R). One another note , There is a slight vibration that I get when driving on road at 90-110 which my mechanic says is due to change in transmission shaft angle cos of the lift. M not sure if @Alexanderrr @Simon Dawood @Mus_hus78 have experienced it yet. overall I am happy with the experience so far!
  16. @Murtaza Bhuria @Looper thanks for signing up for this drive. However due to limited participation , the drive is cancelled. there is another Fewbie drive on the same day and you can signup as it still has some empty slots.. See you all in sands soon.
  17. From Raptor to Jimny!!!! That’s some upgrade!!! It’s packs a punch for sure!!! Remember to control the throttle! @Karthik Raptor

  20. Drive Report: One of the most satisfying drives for me in a long long time! This is how i would describe this drive from my perspective. Navigating through one of the most treacherous known terrain had its own sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. The drive had its own challenges and it was pure pleasure to see how each one on the convoy responded to it. Be it driving, helping each other during recoveries and refusals, Support team guiding the convoy over some simple yet difficult maneuvers and providing feedback on the radio. The comments above from @Davie Chase and @Looper very well summarize the intensity of the drive and the response/attitude of the convoy. well done @TT_Dubai for the 2nd lead and @Davie Chase @Looper for providing excellent support. Having you guys in the convoy will always take some pressure of any lead! well done boys @Jad Moussalli @Emmanuel @Jaro Tuzinsky @Ashutosh Garg @Brett Eicher @Batuhan Kulac for amazing driving! i hope you all enjoyed the technical terrain Transit! Congratulations @Emmanuel , you are now officially over the fear of all offroaders and made peace with the gods of Sand!:) See you all again in the next adventure on sands! Stats below!
