  1. Thanks @Ale Vallecchi for a wonderful drive in a brand new area of Al Qudra for us. There was a lot of untouched dunes along our exploration with very few challenges we couldn't self-recovery from. Ben's pop-out was a learning experience and unlikely to be your last. Ale got stuck on a bush when coming over to have a look. Everyone drove really well. All in all, a fun way to start the weekend.
  2. A warm welcome to our first and second time drivers with the club: @Kirill K @Steffi @Neha Jain @Oussama @Yury @Jason M @Shary. You all did really well for your first drives in an area with much soft sand, cross-tracks, and with other users moving around and through our convoy. Thanks for a wonderful drive @Davie Smooth_Operator. Always a pleasure to drive with you. Great working with you @Mark B @Ishak, and @Imran Asghar. See you all on the sand next time.
  3. Hi everyone and HNY! Related questions regarding Pajero lift kits. The White Rhino has a Dobinsons MRR suspension system with about a 2 inch lift and running with zero offset rims. There are still stock sway bar links and upper arm ball joints installed on the WR. I’m wondering if I should consider longer and or stronger sway bar links and/or extended upper ball joints as part of this upgrade. Note: one of my sway bar links snapped last weekend, which was a first for me even with my first Pajero and desert driving for 4 years. Has anyone here done a similar lift on their Pajero? What has been your experience with sway bar link and ball joint upgrades? Did you notice any significant improvements in handling or ride quality after making these changes? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  4. That's exactly the spot on the left where not to stop. All kidding aside, it is always a better decision not to go over if you don't think it's clear even if that means a recovery is needed if you can't self-recover. Thanks for the assistance @Davie Smooth_Operator.
  5. Congrat's @W a q a r. See you on the sand again soon.
  6. Congrat's @Mahmut. Well deserved. See you next time out there.
  7. Well done @J-P L. Amazing work getting to be one with Jimny.
  8. Thanks @Gaurav and friends. This was very informative the practical scenarios where helpful. As you said at the outright, to help fill in the gaps and remove some of the not so helpful techniques. Jotting down notes today while they are still fresh. Take care and for those observing, have a Merry Christmas.
  9. Congratulations @Luke K P! Very well deserved mate and looking forward to working with you on drives soon.
  10. Enjoy camping. We were camping a couple of nights and it was great weather. Thanks for info and looking forward to seeing the photos.
  11. Hi, Anyone have experience making or having someone produce a temporary sleeping platform and storage shelving here in Dubai? Requirements are that it must be removal, secured well, allows access to the 3rd seat storage area. That seat was removed and now is filled with gear and equipment. The bed platform would need to expand over the 2nd row folded down seats. The storage system should include space for future onboard air. I found this for a 4Runner though gets close to what I'm thinking about. Thank you, Emanuel
  12. That was the White Rhino and daddy camel stare down.
  13. Congratulations @davie c smooth operator! Amazing news to see and very well deserved.
  14. Thanks a mil @Marek. Sounds like exactly the kind of issue I have right now.
  15. Seeking cleaning advice my windshield. Somehow my windshield has become especially dirty recently. It is a grime type film that is really baked on somehow. Car washes, window cleaner, and household grease cleaners have had no effect. Some medium scrapping using a plastic access card (not recommended because they can be expensive to replace) helped as in the picture below. However, there must be an easier and faster way to do this without any risk to body paint or window seals. Normally, when not facing the sun, you can hardly tell this film is there. However, as in the picture below, when the car is facing the sun, it creates a bit of opacity block. Thank you!
  16. Good morning and a warm welcome to our new members. @Alex M, @Raghav1996, @nickJp, @Amr J, @saumik1989, @Osamamasfary. Looking forward to meeting you on your first convoy drive with us. This is going to be a very nice drive through the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve and @Frederic's leisure drives are legendary.
  17. Hi @Jose Luis Campos. I haven't continued to work on this as it seemed thus far to be more effort than perceived value at the moment. I've been without for several years now and my car tells me when something isn't right with the pressure. By the way, I did check with ScanGauge and they said: "Unfortunately the ScanGauge3 will not look XGauge codes for tire pressure in a Mitsubishi."
