    POST DRIVE REPORT Thank you all for being ready for the briefing promptly at 2:00 pm. As everyone was FB+ or above, and with agreement from both drivers and passengers, we upgraded the drive to FB+ and were into the desert shortly after the briefing. The first patch in Murquab proved a little challenging for the long-wheelbase Wildtrack, even with the track being adjusted with the vehicle in mind. With a little more practice, particularly in choosing the best lines for the longer wheelbase, I’m sure this will quickly become a non-issue. Remember that good spacing is important, as it gives you the best chance of seeing and following the line taken by the car ahead. Our second patch in Murquab was much more playful, with some nice hill climbs, ridges, sidies and loops. After exploring the area, we crossed the sabkha and made our way to the sand track towards Qudra, where we stopped for a short break and some social time. From there, the sand track took us to our next entry point in Qudra, where we worked through another technical section before reaching the larger dunes we had been aiming for. Once through the transition, we arrived at our first play area and explored it quite thoroughly before enjoying a more leisurely run towards the second play area. That section was good fun as well, although we gradually started scaling things back as we worked our way towards the exit. During the second half of the drive, we had a few refusals and a couple of stucks. The self-recoveries were handled very well, and the few stucks were cleared quickly with good teamwork from the convoy. Well done. We also had a few early exits from ridges and sidies, as well as a couple of occasions where cars exited to the opposite side. In each case, the convoy reacted correctly by steering down and following. These are exactly the safety actions we talk about during the briefing. They keep the convoy predictable and, most importantly, help prevent accidents. Overall, you all drove really well through a route that had a good mix of faster sections, technical patches and opportunities to play.     We’re organising a scenic and moderately challenging off-road drive from Murquab to Qudra. This route offers a great mix of terrain—perfect for those looking to build confidence in the dunes while still enjoying a bit of variety. We’ll begin with soft, rolling dunes that are ideal for warming up and getting into the rhythm. As we progress west, the dunes gradually increase in size and complexity, offering a fun challenge without being too technical. Around the midway point, we will encounter some sabkha flats—likely where we will take a break, depending on the conditions and timing. As we head into Qudra, expect more varied terrain with scattered bushes and camel grass, until we see the open dunes ahead of us for the finale part of our planned drive.     POST DRIVE REPORT A big thank you to everyone for being on time despite the construction delays on E311 northbound before the E66 exit, which affected some members of the convoy. As planned, we set off shortly after the briefing, which was co-hosted by our newest Advisor and Lead-in-Training, @Frans M. Thank you, Frans, for the fantastic support as Centre Forward, helping manage one stuck and a few refusals throughout the drive. A special thanks as well to @JC_E for taking the Second Lead position and for assisting with the recovery of the Toyota Prado. Your support was greatly appreciated, as was the excellent spacing you maintained behind the lead vehicle, which allowed flexibility when making route adjustments. Thank you to @Mei Ling for the excellent radio communication from the back of the convoy, keeping everyone informed and connected throughout the drive. As planned, we entered the beautiful Lisaili area and headed towards the patch of longitudinal dunes. It took us some time to reach the area as several very new drivers were still getting accustomed to driving on sand and learning the characteristics of their vehicles. However, it was encouraging to see noticeable improvements in both confidence and vehicle control as the drive progressed and we gradually introduced some slightly more challenging terrain. After a well-deserved break, we made our way back towards the exit point while continuing to enjoy the scenery that makes this part of the Dubai desert so special. A special congratulations to our newest club member, @Stephan Guglieri, on successfully completing his first drive with Carnity. Well done also to @Pierre-andre Nutteand @Nagarjun S. There were a few learning opportunities along the way, but all of you showed good progress and a positive attitude throughout the morning. I'm glad to hear that everyone enjoyed the stunning landscapes and unique character of this beautiful section of the Dubai desert. Our track together is below. A distance of 27 kms covered is good for a Newbie drive and we had some good elevation profiles, meaning we had some good NB level hill climbs and descents to practice with.     POST DRIVE REPORT Thank you all for being early and ready for the briefing. Starting on time allowed us to get into the desert quickly and make the most of the afternoon. Everyone drove exceptionally well through both main sections of the drive, including the planned technical patches we had to cross to reach our destination dunes. The drive flowed smoothly, with only a few challenges along the way, most of which were resolved with a second attempt and some guidance on self-recovery techniques. Well done to all of you. A special thanks to our sweep, @J-P L, who maintained excellent communication throughout the drive, kept us updated from the back, and provided support whenever needed. We also had the pleasure of enjoying a section of the drive led by JP, featuring some great lines, fun side sloping, ridge riding, and a tour of Ishak’s Bowl. Well done, JP. Thank you as well to @Thomas54675 for as second lead and for helping keep the convoy moving efficiently. Attached is the Gaia GPS track from yesterday's adventure. We covered an impressive 75 km of varied terrain, creating a route with a pretty impressive elevation profile and plenty of memorable moments along the way.     SUMMARY We will enter Lisali from the north after driving along the Camel Racetrack to our entry point. After a brief technical patch we will have longitudinal dunes in front of us offering plenty of side sloping and ridge riding opportunities. Once we've made our mark here we'll cross a sabkha or two that will take us to the Qudra entry point. There will be a small patch of technical dunes to pass before we see the flowing dunes thereafter for more thrills for the remainder of the drive. We are planning to exit new Three Trees in Qudra.
