  1. My first experience with @Carnity was for a masterclass. @Wrangeld was my instructor and after a few hours we were taken by surprise by a sandstorm. Richard asked me on the radio if I wanted to exit or continue - we continued. We drove 45 minutes in the sand clouds and this encounter with the desert made me respect it even more. Today, while following @Anish S and when we came across the sandstorm, I had a throwback and this time it was a bliss. As usual, Anish you took us through challenging dunes, criss crossing and ridge riding at a surprising pace given the conditions but that the whole convoy kept up with. We almost never stopped... until one big refusal that had us all dig. That refusal was a very good case study on how to get out from a very tricky situation. Thank you again @Anish S, thank you @Gaurav for the support and advices, thank you @Anoop Nair @Marwan Haddad @Sunil Mathew @Ben84 and see you in 2 weeks
  2. Thank you @Ale Vallecchi for your pedagogy on the technique and tips and also for the bucolic ride among dunes, wildlife and vegetation. This intensive ridge-riding session was much enlightening and instructive. Totally recommend it to get more comfortable and confident with this technique. I tried as much as possible to follow you "a la trace" so @Anoop Nair and the rest of the convoy can also follow as much as possible your trajectory. Thanks sweep @Darren Brooke you got busy this morning well done ! Thanks CF @Nivin always comforting to know you're on the watch. Have a nice weekend everyone and see you soon !
  3. Thank you @Anish S for putting me as your second lead. You know how much I like this position I had a few refusals today, I felt that I didn't deflate my tires enough at the beginning of the ride and also probably because I was too close to you at some moments and couldn't calibrate my momentum. Overall, I really enjoyed the ride especially that you took us into unusual dune path. You really made the best out of the 3 hours of driving. Sometimes technical dunes are "too technical" but as mentioned during the drive, your track made us all enjoy it (even @RooRzOn ??) @Lakshmi Narasimhan and @RooRzOn you made such a good job that from my position I almost never saw what was happening in the back except when we were looping and got to see everyone riding superbly ! And @Marwan Haddad very well done, you managed to rectify the route perfectly several times. Cheers !
  4. Thank you @Yousef Alimadadi for leading us and @Vanessa8580 and @Kalahari for watching and supporting us from the back. As @varunmehndiratta mentioned the challenges were many and oh so instructive. Not only when I got refusals and when I got crested but also when supporting other members to shovel and tug them out (I did use my brand new rope 4 times that morning and I enjoyed the responsibility). @Tero Vallas thank you for getting me out, it was comforting to benefit from your experience and advice.
