  1. Our leader @Varun Mehndiratta arrives 😄, little did he know what was in store, nor, never to wear that T-shirt again
  2. @bravoecho need a name for a group of Jeeps
  3. Thanks @Varun Mehndiratta as always an Adenauer of a drive and learning experience. Looking forward to the looper recovery story.. also lesson learned even though many Jeep have 1940s suspension they are still a modern car, when computer says no, you ain’t going anywhere. I did indeed switch between 4H Auto and 4H Part time many times, getting the feel for which situation calls for it. I also engaged a “secret” mode in Sandrunner that allows for Rear Diff lock while in 4H. This is surprisingly fun, but useless when turning. @Looper never good to see a fellow Jeep in distress glad it got out of the desert and then decided to play nice by conveying you home.. Hope to get a follow up on what the issue was and if you end up having to replace both batteries. Worth checking for current draw from any accessories too. Thanks to all the support team, always good to catch up @Bravoecho . Thanks @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler for advice on leaving more space, The Sandrunner does gain ground on the Pajeros in certain conditions. Glad you persevered @lucas amat I was on your first drive, wonderful to see how much capability you have gained in the Jeep Liberty. @Murtaza Bhuria there should be a badge for a double pop out, hope the damage is superficial. For future drives I will be adding antihistamines to my first aid kit, some un witnessed insect had what I can only describe as a brunch on my arm, which led to swelling. Went down after a few hours.
  4. Fuel consumption increases exponentially after 120km/hr in a Jeep, put it this way my 2014 V8 dodge Durango was more fuel efficient at highway speeds than my 2021Jeep gladiator at the same speed .. I believe this is purely aerodynamics.. airflow around a brick vs something with curves and air deflectors.. another tip, unless you love the roar of rubber on the road at all times , avoid mud terrain tires.
  5. Welcome @Parliament to this fun and safe community. @Benjamin 2nd basics arm workouts, steering while in a refusal.. full lock left, full lock right , repeat 😂
  6. Beautiful drive @JeromeFJ I really had a great time. So much to see , gave me a new perspective on the ecology of the desert.. I also got to experiment the the ever up for discussion jeep transfer case.. between 4H auto vs 4H part time.. conclusion for me felt like 4H part time gave a little more control while turning and climbing. I have added some photos to the gallery
  7. Great example @Varun Mehndiratta , you would think copious plume of sand would be a sign to abort sooner.
  8. @Varun Mehndiratta last few drives I've probably used just over a 1/4 tank. @Mark B Jeep probably added this feature because of the market in these devices, if it ever gets turned off if feels like there is so much less power but I'm just not pressing hard enough. I really like the responsiveness too. I was curious about Jeep vehicle weights, found PDF specification sheets on the below pages. Wrangler Sport 1890kg ( @Benjamin 366 kg lighter than my Gladiator) Wrangler Rubicon 2018kg (4-door I'm assuming with regular roof and doors installed, 2-door is only 116kg lighter) Gladiator Sport 2119kg Gladiator Mojave(Sandrunner) 2256kg Stellantis 2023 Product Information - Jeep®: Wrangler (stellantis-na-product-media.info) Stellantis 2023 Product Information - Jeep®: Gladiator (stellantis-na-product-media.info)
  9. @Varun Mehndiratta I have always used the off-road plus mode , the only useful part I find off road + is throttle response, with one button it turns off traction control ,makes the go pedal more sensitive. Turns on the off road page screen, seeing the gauges is nice at times, or the angle of a slope on a steep descent, (I feel the screen is more gimmick as eyes should be concentrated on situational awareness) and changes the gear profiles in D. Although at times it does hang around in 1st too long, hence at times I’ll manually go to 2nd or my favourite is when it decides on a long climb to change into 3rd and loses all power near the top. this drive it behaved well and I rarely passed 3,000 RPM
  10. Same here @Mark B i played with part time a few times but never thought we should be running it all the time on the sand. Can’t wait to try on some big bowls.. and ridges. Looks like we will all be drive 4h part time next weekend 😃
