  1. @Frederic I love these little off-road cars; I think (could be wrong) that this car in the 90s was actually badged differently depending on the country it was being sold in. In America it was known as the Amigo, but in Europe it had the badging of Vauxhall Definitely a car that would look nice with some retro pinstripes
  2. Congrats @Saverio Arena good job on getting to FB+ faster paced and a lot of fun! Enjoy your first in this level this weekend?
  3. Nice @Gary F (dad) you’ve caught up to me really quickly! Look forward to the next one together. Deserved int promotion
  4. Hi @Nilakantan Erode welcome to carnity I definitely agree with @Krishna R to identify what your full needs are for your second car. for example you mention this will be used for city driving and weekend off-roading, depending on how much you use the car or the person driving on it will make your decision much easier. In my case I have a jeep wrangler 2018 sport, I use this for off-roading and daily driving, for me this is perfect and I Don’t worry too much about the on-road experience although it will differ per person.
  5. Hey @SamMills1994 welcome to the Middle East! Off-road desert driving is one of the best experiences you can do in this region, perfect for the car enthusiast, shutterbug, social gatherings, Adrenalin junkie, or even time away from work. So I Don’t drive an Xterra so @Krishna R, @M.Seidam, @Rizwanm2 @Chaitanya D might be some of the people that might be more qualified in answering your question. however in my opinion if it’s in your budget a new car is a much better option especially if your planning to off-road. Only reason for this is because used off-road cars could have a list of issues you aren’t aware of, especially the chance of a bunch of third party modifications which you don’t need to enjoy the deserts of the UAE, this way you avoid the need of thoroughly checking and testing cars from previous owners, and you can get warranty for certain dealerships. Besides those minor inconveniences you can go ahead and check out used Xterra’s there is a bunch on the market if you look at carswitch or dubizzle even the Facebook marketplace might be a place to check, you’ll notice used cars will have a better price but don’t let them fool you, especially when buying from Sharjah, another big tip is to always check the VIN number of used cars this way you can see if it’s been in a accident in the past and determine if the previous accident is worth it for the integrity of the vehicle
  6. @Gaurav great drive! Was great to meet you in person whilst also managing to be at the end of the convoy and at the front! 😂 when I look back at the events of last nights drive the main two learning points I had was how to fix leaf springs and most bizarrely how to perform grand theft auto on @Bravoecho car. @Krishna R man I hope you managed to get your car sorted out I will look forward to our next drive together will see you soon. in the end of it all it was a great drive and everyone drove extremely well alongside springing into action whenever there was an obstacle to overcome.
  7. @M.Seidam great drive in the infinite dark loops! Thank you for the great drive report it was very informative For me this drive was a challenge to understand the limits of my halogen jeep lights illuminating the sandy waves, with a few minor refusals I managed to continue to press on while capturing some nice photos on the top of pink rock everyone drove amazingly we had a healthy mix of driving and refusals which usually are the most important style of off-road experience; learning how to recover safely is just as important as learning to drive safely. @Krishna R always good to meet up in the trail, especially seeing that mighty Xterra climb dunes. @Ignacio Quindós@Zulfikhar Naiyar both did well with the double winch was amazing seeing the abilities of these tools in situations without would mean removing the dune by shovel. everyone I missed out drove great and will look forward to the next one!
  8. Good evening @Gaurav I’m going to add myself to your waitlist as I have a Friday night drive already planned. I just want to make sure anyone without driving plans gets a position first. If possible would love to join on your night journey Saturday night
  9. @DP1011 This is great news! Well deserved promotion always great to have you on drives! Hope to see you soon
  10. Really good post @Frederic always ensuring to check up on your 4x4 is essential to safe driving. I do have a question though; since I got the hurricane shocks and doing daily offroading they do squeak, never thought it was an issue. maybe I should go back to AM.Wrangler to get them lubricated or something?
  11. @GauravSoni what a great drive! I really enjoyed the fast paced corners and climbs this time my gearing came along much better which also equaled to great pace. myself and my small support crew had some good fun with the ridge riding. @Vaibhav I hope you can get your jeep sorted out soon I know Mopar can be really frustrating sometimes; I hope to see you soon. @DP1011 another great drive to tick off mate! I will see you soon @Looper always a good drive when you can show us all your looping skills! Did very well in SL as expected @Mario Cornejo you were amazing as well! Always awesome seeing your car power through the dunes it’s like having first class tickets to a dakar rally session Always great to see familiar faces @Chris Wing @Gertjan @Jaro Tuzinsky @Waqas Parvez @ASAD. @Zed and everyone else I may have missed out
  12. @GauravSoni I’m confirmed for this weekend car has been double checked all is good
