  1. Hi all, hope everyone is doing great! Wanted to ask your advice here. Brought my Pajero a year back to a well-known specialized garage in Sharjah for the major 200k service. Among other works, they charged me for the differential oil change. At some point I decided to change the garage, and brought the car to another one to do suspension repairs and a lift kit. They inspected the car, and found out there is no oil in both front and rear diffs. My hypothesis is that the first garage drained the oil and forgot to fill it up, as no leaks were identified during the check up. That means I've been running on dry diffs for ~5k km. Once the new oil was filled, metal debris started to get flushed between the moving parts and I can hear a loud crackling sound from the rear diff while moving at 2wd with more that 2k RPMs. Garage that identified the issue suggests to replace both differentials with a pre-owned ones, around 2.5k AED each. But I am thinking whether there are any other cost-effective repairs solutions in this case, like rebuild or bearing replacement? Did anyone have the same issue, and what was the solution? Does anyone knows good garages specialized in differential rebuild? (I know it is forbidden to recommend specific places in the forum, so will be happy to get recommendations in DM ) Thank you folks!
  2. @Gaurav, sorry man, need to drop today. Coolant level below normal level, need to check my Paj in the garage before I go for the new adventures 🙁
