Joining an Offroad Club first the first time can be nerve-wrecking and exciting at the same time, and there might be many things going through your mind. In this topic we will guide your through those first steps to make you feel more comfortable. We will list below the chronological steps to follow to get you all ready and set up for your first drive with us. How do I sign up? Carnity is a pay-per-use car and off-road club that allows you to sign up after selecting your subscription plan and completing the online payment process. Off-Road Club Subscriptions in Dubai & Abu Dhabi | Carnity Once your payment is completed, you will receive an email containing the “Joining Instructions” for off-road drives. Please follow the instructions on how to: Join the Off-road Club (see below. make sure to click in the right upper corner on JOIN CLUB) RSVP for an off-road drive Introduce yourself in the drive topic you have RSVP'd for Is my car suitable for off-roading? We recommend using a proper 4x4 vehicle with: At least 8–9 inches of ground clearance Front and rear recovery points A low-range transfer case (4L) If you are unsure whether your vehicle is suitable, please contact us before purchasing a subscription. Do I need to modify my vehicle? Not at all. We strongly recommend driving your vehicle in stock condition first to assess its capabilities. After completing a couple of drives, you will better understand whether modifications are necessary as this is very vehicle dependant. For desert driving, the most common upgrades from the Fewbie level onward include: All-terrain tires Bash/skid plates Bumper trimming Lift kits Unlike many other off-road clubs supported by garages, we do not sell or promote modifications. Once you join, our unbiased off-road experts will help you determine whether modifications are genuinely needed based on your driving level and experience. What do I need for my first drive? You will need: A valid UAE driving license Basic understanding of your vehicle’s 4x4 settings You must also bring: Tire pressure gauge. example: https://amzn.eu/d/0dz2L8QA Tire deflator: example: https://amzn.eu/d/0bCZ8baO Air compressor: example: https://amzn.eu/d/0bCZ8baO UHF Two Way radio: Baofeng UV5R, UV5RH, Crony MT777, or equivalent. (Dragon Mart 1 sells them) Safety flag (can be mounted on a bracket or a suction cup. Available on Amazon or Dragon Mart). Shovel: example: https://amzn.eu/d/0a6sdPHi First-aid kit (should be standard in each vehicle) Fire extinguisher (should be standard in each vehicle) Can I bring family or friends? Absolutely! You may bring friends and family members without any additional charges or subscriptions, provided they are not driving. However, for your very first drive, we recommend driving alone to minimize distractions. Can I pay cash at the drive location? No. We only accept secure online payments made through our website. Since all drives must be booked in advance, your subscription and RSVP confirmation must also be completed online. Can I try before committing? Absolutely! You have a full 30 days to try our service. If you are not satisfied for any reason, simply submit a refund request — no explanation required. To request a refund, visit the Contact Us page and send your: Name User ID Refund Request All refund requests are processed on the same day, and refunds are typically credited back to your card within 3 working days. Can I transfer my previous off-road experience? Yes. Once you join a Newbie drive, you may self-declare your previous off-road experience. After completing your drive, you can apply for a promotion to the Fewbie level based on Marshal feedback, allowing you to join higher-level drives. REQUEST YOUR PROMOTION HERE

In case you still need to buy offroad equipment, we can recommend Dragon Mart 1: Proceed to the EB section: https://maps.app.goo.gl/tTUuZUDpkMycUhjg8 where you will find two-way radios. The Crony MT777 or Baofeng UV5-RH is easy to program and use. If you walk around you will also find pressure gauges, deflators, shovel, and air compressors (buy a compressor that is big enough to inflate 4 tires, not the tiny ones that use cigarette lighter plug). You can also get an offroad flag here that you can attach to your vehicle with a suction cup. Another option is Amazon: https://amzn.eu/d/0eWiaSuN https://amzn.eu/d/0gExNNIR https://amzn.eu/d/0bMjxN8e https://amzn.eu/d/0bwX4zn1 Two way radio won't be available on Amazon. Only Dragon Mart sells them (or some hunting shops).

Hi @Lvc Great to see you are enjoying the experience! We don't do specific group drives apart from the club-organized club drives, but we have Newbie level drives on most weekends, so they can perhaps sign up and you can all sign up for the same Newbie level drive. Of course it depends if you are talking about 2-3 colleagues or 15-20 colleagues 😁. Anyways, if they have a 4x4, some basic offroad tools like you purchased, they are good to go if they signup. If you guys are together on the same drive it will be a very cool experience for all of you!

Hi Desertnauts / Team Carnity, First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who organized and supported the recent Newbie Drive. As a complete beginner, I couldn't have asked for a better first experience. The briefing, guidance, and patience from the marshals and experienced drivers made me feel confident throughout the drive. I absolutely loved it! The adrenaline rush of driving through the dunes was incredible😤, and I can't wait to join many more drives with the community. Not sure if I can post here about below query, kinda new here.😁 After sharing my experience, a few of my colleagues have become really interested in trying desert driving too. We'd love to join together as a group if possible. I was wondering if the club ever organizes corporate or private group newbie sessions, or if there's a way for a group of friends/colleagues to participate in the same introductory drive. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, and once again, thank you for such an amazing first desert driving experience!
