Good afternoon everyone! @Shary @MikeT@Mark J@Amr mostafa@Hakan@Looper@Sergio del Rio@MarkH@Rasna@Sheho@Hartzel@Thomas54675 Thanks for signing up to this drive. Some small pointers for tomorrow: 1. Please try to arrive 10-15mins before the meeting time. This will give you time to deflate, set up your flag, and perhaps sip your cup of coffee 2. You can deflate to 14psi if you have normal HT tires, or to 12psi if you have All Terrain tires 3. We will use Channel 10 on the Walkie Talkie: 446.231Mhz. We will test the radios and also bring a couple of spares in case this would be your first drive and don't have procured a radio yet. The plan is from the starting point to go Eastwards and visit the famous Foxes' Den, a favorite stopover where we might spot some foxes (at least their burrows). From there we will continue further and exit at the ADNOC in Tilal Sweihan. See you all in the morning. If you encounter issues with the Google Maps, link, you can also copy/paste the decimal coordinates in your Google Maps.
  7. @J-P L totaly deserved, you have become an absolute stalwart of the club, driving more than anyone. Your skills and calm nature has been the backbone of so many drives. Really looking forward to many drives under your lead.
  8. @Frans M very well deserved promotion. Your calmness and skills in the dunes will really shine through on your leads. Cannot wait to drive with you soon.
  9. Selamat pak @Frans M on your well-deserved promotion to Advisor level. langsung gas BBQ 🤣. Throughout many drives, you've always been someone people can rely on, bringing a great combination of technical expertise, sound judgment, and a calm presence in challenging situations. One memorable example was the Green Jeep rollover recovery in Nahil, where your calm and firm approach, combined with your excellent technical skills, helped manage the situation safely and effectively. Your ability to stay composed under pressure and make the right decisions is something that inspires confidence in everyone around you. I have no doubt that these qualities will make you an outstanding Advisor and convoy leader. Looking forward to drive under your lead 🫡.
  10. Big congrats @J-P L on flying Jimny can reach and help anyone!
  11. Congratulations @J-P L on your well-deserved promotion to Advisor level! 🎉 Your dedication to the Carnity community, willingness to help others, and calm guidance on every drive have made a huge impact on many members, myself included. Personally, you've supported my drive many times and I have no doubt you'll do an amazing job leading convoys as an Advisor. Looking forward to drive under your lead 🫡.
  12. Congratulations @Frans M on reaching the Advisor Level with Carnity Offroad Club! Dear Frans, you have shown to be cool as a cucumber, yet warm as a person. Your technical skills will come in handy but more than anything your leadership will ensure many people will happily follow you through the various deserts we have in the UAE! @Ale Vallecchi will be your Professor taking you through the leaders lead sessions that will be organized soon! 🧑‍🏫 🏅 Advisor Level The Advisor Level is the cornerstone of Team Carnity’s structure. Even as you progress to higher ranks, you will always remain an Advisor first. This role is about constructively helping, supporting, and advising others with mutual respect as part of our multicultural family. Advisors are encouraged to share ideas, ask questions, and exchange views at any level - always respectfully, professionally, and confidentially for internal use. This is the stage where your biggest transformation begins - from skilled off-roader to capable leader. 📌 Leaders Lead Session At this level, you’ll join the exclusive Leaders Lead sessions - an intensive program with homework and pre-drive preparation. These sessions, conducted by Crew members for a select few Advisors, cover: Advanced Sand Reading & Planning – terrain assessment, level setting, and emergency exits. Navigational Leadership – using software to manage and scale convoy leads. Extreme Convoy Management – leading, recovering, and handling convoys in the toughest UAE deserts. This is exclusive, invaluable training available only to Advisors. 🚙 Path to Expert Level Once you’ve completed the three steps above, you’ll be eligible to start leading under supervision: Minimum 2 partial leads in daytime Fewbie drives (under Expert/Marshal/Crew supervision). Minimum 4 full Fewbie leads planned, posted, and executed (Expert/Marshal/Crew supervision). You may take on additional partial or full leads if you’d like more time to build confidence. Upon successfully completing this journey, you’ll qualify for Expert promotion - a milestone that marks the beginning of your leadership legacy.
