Today was a great day of Carnity desert off-roading! Thank you @DP1011 for organising a great drive with a fantastic support team (which was everyone on the drive). The event that happened twice ('popouts') is the thing we shall not mention, as it seems speaking about it only makes it a reality - a mistake I made last week, and a hypothesis we confirmed today. Glad to have been able to assist with my Air Jack and @Gaurav Soni for demonstrating how to use it so effectively, he even gave me a second opportunity to practice on 'purpose'. Everyone drove so well, especially when tackling the longer flowing dunes and ridges! But the key take-away today is the Carnity Club spirit and comradery that turns every trip into a life-long memory. I uploaded a few pictures to today's gallery.

We got underway right on time and headed straight for Old Lady Dune. No warm-ups allowed. Straight into switches, climbs and some fun lines to wake everyone up properly. Old Lady was pretty tracked out, which made the south-side climb to the top harder than usual. Rather than keep fighting it, we looped around to the north-west and found a cleaner way up onto the main ridge. From there, we were rewarded with some stunning views and spent a good chunk of the morning riding the ridgeline all the way down. Somewhere along the way, we also picked up a random Nissan who apparently decided to join the convoy and became our unofficial second sweep. 😂 Next up were the big Al Saad power bowls, where we spotted a few foxes and had our first bit of excitement with a pop-out. Plenty of hands made quick work of it, and we were soon moving again. Then it was over to the Three Trees sidie wall, where we spent some time experimenting with different faces, lines and approaches before moving on to our final stop — Nagrah. We climbed it from both sides, enjoyed the views, played around with some sidies, then climbed it again because… why not? From there, we jumped onto the trail and made a fast exit. Excellent driving from everyone throughout. Fast. Fun. Big dunes. Big lines. And more than just a little bit EXTREME. 😎 See you on the next one @_Herman_ @Jerome @Chema @Zsolt @Yury.bel @Abdullah A. @Piotr. @Cristian

This will be one of my favorite drives, not because of the pace, not because of the track, not because of the weather or the fun we had while driving, neither because of the dunes BUT for one simple reason: the club truly stands for TEAM SPIRIT Every member who joined today became a support member at some point—helping through the pop-outs, tackling crests that needed shoveling, and managing the car breakdown. Even when we offered a smaller convoy so people could leave on time while we assisted the broken-down car, not a single person wanted to leave anyone behind. It reinforced exactly what we stand for: we go as one team, and we exit as one team. Thank you all for demonstrating this spirit. I look forward to seeing everyone again soon! @Gaurav Soni @Looper @Andrew John Melvill @Infaz @Amer Alsabbagh @Kishor @Sheho @Rashid Alseeni @Enrico - Mountain ! @Rashid Alseeni - you dont need to be sorry for today, it can happen with anyone of us and glad that we were all out safe and hope your car is fixed soon and see you soon ! We all learn everyday !

We got an early start, and I immediately set the tone for the evening by getting stuck. Twice. 😅 We spent a fair bit of time looping around the opening section, getting a feel for the terrain and figuring out just how dark things were going to get before pushing on. Apparently we were also a very attractive sight, because the quadwheelers absolutely refused to leave us alone and followed us around for a good chunk of the drive. As the night went on and everyone settled in, we started finding some bigger lines and managed to squeeze in a few properly big sidies toward the end. Then it was time for coffee. Except I forgot the coffee. Thankfully @Alexanderrr came prepared with some Karak, and I managed to salvage the situation with a couple of cans of Nescafé. 😂 A slightly chaotic start, some persistent quadwheelers, big sidies, and improvised coffee. Good night out @Zsolt @MarkH @Thomas54675 @khurram @Sandeep N @Alexanderrr @Giacomo

No worries @Rashid Alseeni! These things happen! That’s all part of offroading. Good to see everyone helping each other out. That’s what Carnity is all about! Hope you get the car sorted soon and see you back in the dunes again. Thank you, @DP1011, for organizing the drive!! Amazing convoy today! We had a bit of everything, from a couple of pop outs to a car breakdown! That’s what this sport is all about learning from every experience! helping each other out and coming out stronger as a team!! Thank you to the support team, @Andrew John Melvill @Gaurav Soniand @Looper for all the guidance and support throughout the drive. It was a pleasure driving with you all!

Very enjoyable newbie drive! Amazing work everyone. Great lines @ChrisW Good mix of terrain and challenges, gave everyone of us a taste of what is like to drive in the dessert. sometimes “boring” sometimes challenging. loved it!

Hey guys, It was great seeing you all again this morning for our drive in the desert. As I mentioned, this was my first newbie drive as well (...as lead!), and I couldn't have asked for a better group. We started out initially moving slightly to the west, before turning back towards the east and heading into the sun. The initial dunes were flat and open, moving into slightly more technical areas which required precise steering, use of momentum and power. We had a few minor refusals and one stuck - all easily dealt with and a good way to build experience of how to move our cars on the sand. We then cruised easily towards the Fox Dens, making a few stops along the way to check tyres and manage a few more refusals. The Fox Dens sadly had no foxes today, but was a nice moment to stop and chat. Thereafter we proceeded east - some larger and more flowing dunes this time where we could practice driving at a slightly higher speed, before joining the "desert highway" and proceeding towards our eventual exit at Tilal. There was some great driving and friendly help towards each other today, which is the ideal environment for us all to be learning in - thank you. For future drives we can focus on finding the right spacing between cars (to allow us to better flow through soft/more complex lines). The level of radio/comms was great, and we even got to practice some more advanced stuff like losing our Sweep... 😉 A quick cut of clips from our drive, and a summary of our route below...see you next time! My thanks again to @Vanessa8580 for smoothing out my lines and helping me pace the drive correctly, and to @Ishak, @Diego and @Imran Asghar for helping to keep the drive flowing.
