squealing brakes

The brakes of my car are squealing. It scares me as I may end up in an accident. IS it possible to diagnose the squealing brakes on own? How to do that?

Squealing brakes is not a rocket science technology. When you hear the squealing or whining noise from the brakes, it means two things:

Firstly, the life of the car brakes is about to end up. In this case, you need to get the brakes changed.

Secondly, your brakes are vibrating. In this case, the absorbent brake plates must be damaged which is creating whiny noise.

I had this horrifying experience few years ago. I was very scared, but it turned out that the problem is not that bad. Of course, it is much cheaper to replace the brakes on time!
