Buying car tires Online

[nackjack]

Does anyone has a good knowledge on online auto parts shopping? How and where can one buy car tires online?

[amitaj]

Dude, i would suggest you not to do online shopping for tires. Sometimes the warranty is invalid and sometimes the auto parts are not certified, so don't trust such sites. Its always better to shop the auto parts from a workshop which is certified and popular in common people.

I remember my friend who bought tires online. It was a complete fraud. They delivered old tires instead of new ones.  And when my friend wanted to complain about the same, they never answered their calls or emails. He had to find out the address of the firm and directly complained about it to the consumer court. Though everything was sorted at the end, but the overall experience with the online tire buying was a bad one.

Buy from tirerack guys, they are good and honest as I have bought myself after my friend recommended them.

Personally, I prefer seeing them first, any imperfection to me is a reason to send them back. Which is not a problem, but consider the waste of time! So, when it's time to get new tyres I simply turn to car workshops that sell them.

I’ve never heard of anyone buying tires online.  They seem to be the last thing you should buy online.  How would they ship the tires to you?

[gshane]

Tires can be shipped easily, that's not the problem. The problem is that you need to be cautious because there are many scammers out there. It is better to check and test the tire before buying it.
