bullseye
For the first time in many years, all Cadillac-built cars shared the same basic engine and drivetrain in 1941. The V8 was increased in horsepower to 150 and, accordingly to contemporary reports delivered a remarkable combination of power, flexibility and smoothness, even by the standard of the luxury field. bipin
V8 engine design is much needed invention of mankind that delivers remarkable power gains and super silky engine operation for road and far efficient than V6 over highway drive at hi speeds. It was interesting to read that Caddy boys invented V8 back then in 1941 and managed to deliver 150 hp in 70 years old cars, WOW. Just wondering with so much legacy and proven expertise why modern Cadillac still lack enormous sales and brand enthusiasm like many other famous Japanese brands and German luxury cars? bullseye
Cadillac were the first car maker to mass-produce a V8 engine and it went on to do that till its 8th generations since its inception in 1914, and General Motors division was the last to retain its own V8 design.
