oil pressure gauge

my 2004 SSR the oil pressure gauge is reading 80lbs and pegged it is normally at 45-50lbs. What could be the problem ?

Get the compression test and see if all cylinder is having same or almost close to 100 -120 pressure. If its not it could be engine problem (big problem). (very rare though).

If not gauge or gauge sensor must be faulty (more likely)
