knocking noise

when driving on low speed i hear a knocking noise from the engine so one of my friend suggested that the i could be low on engine oil but the level seems fine

what else could it be.

It cud be many things to doubt from lifter/rocker, tappet, valves etc. Difficult to say without hearing. Show to some good mechanic that has stethoscope and can read mild knocking at idling inside the engine.

what are the chances of timing belt getting worn out in 5 years?
