what is wrong with my car

my car is hesitating while i change the manual gear on my 2000 mustang. dose this mean there is a gear issue or engine. how do i determine the issue or do i wait for something else to happen. advices are grateful

Hestitating means while shifting you got jerk: that is gear issue, if its mild change the gear asap with filter and see if it fix the problem.

Hesitating means once you shift the gear, in that new gear car hesitate to pick and move then its more tricky. Could be gear (40%) and could be engine like spark plugs, wires, engine oil and all.
