Prado vs Fortuner

Hi, 

I'm new to the forum and UAE. I've already asked this same question in Toyota forum and received a couple of valuable answers (thanks guys 👍). Now I realised there is this dedicated Advice section with much more traction therefore I'm reposting it also here. 

 

I'm buying preowned car. I'll use it for daily use (transport bike to bike track etc) and to start off with off road driving in UAE. I have some experience owning Discovery 2 for 14 years and lately LR4 back in EU, but here I'm looking at Toyotas. 

I'm looking at Toyota Fortuner and Prado (around year 2017-19, with around 50K). Any advice which is more suitable for this region? Which has better resale price? Anyone with experience owning and driving extensively both off road?
