External Molle Panels - Gurus’ Advice Needed

Hi @Carnity,

I am contemplating on custom building external Molle panels for my pajero. Does anyone know if there are any legal restrictions or RTA constraints on this ?

I am adding some photos here on what are external Molle panels as they are not that popular in the UAE. 

Any advice on the legality of this is much appreciated!

I don't think they are per se illegal, but all depends to which station you go for the car passing. On my last car inspection they mentioned on the passing paper my roof rack should be removed, but they did not fail me for it.

When i asked the inspector why it was mentioned he bluntly said: you were not failed for inspection so no problem....🤔
