Nissan Y61 Super Safari Trunk Vent

Does anyone know what this vent in the trunk is for? I looked in the user manual but I could not find anything.

I had same on sequoia,  in vw also, it mainly as remember to get t9 some wires? Have you opened it? It's very easy, and you will see what's inside, storage or wires

It's for the rear air conditioning. The condenser sits behind that panel.
