Hey people. Can anyone tell me what is scan tool companion and what is it used for?

Scan tool companion is a system which helps in diagnosing the trouble codes that one faces in their car. The scan tool that we use to detect the trouble codes never tells the reason of the trouble code. In reference to the same, one can use scan tool companion to detect what the trouble exactly is and how to fix it.
