how will i fix the reverse sensors that are not working

the reverse sensor has stopped working of my car and so i wish to fix it myself as this car is old and the mechanic will going to charge me alot so what i should bring and how can i fix myself.

the sensor is connected to the reverse light. at times for a start check the connection that may be loose.
