transmission thinks too much

I have 2001 kia sedona, when i engage to D from P it thinks too much before moving the vehicle. It not always, its sometimes.

Can i fix it permanently as often i go to long drive to Abu Dhabi and sometimes to Ras Al Khaimah even, and i dont want to get suck in deserted land with this issue. Any help or guesses is highly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Gear solenoid looks faulty, get it computer check once to diagnose it for sure. As its expensive fix.
