adnan
Hi guys, I own a Lexus RX300 and the speakers all of a sudden don't work properly. You can hear the music, radio, etc but there is a strange broken noise along with it too as if one of the wires are damaged in the speakers. The problem just started yesterday ... should I wait it out before taking it in or should i have them checked immediately? regards
mastersam
Hi Adnan, My car did the same earlier this year and I reconnected the speaker. You can disconnect and reconnect it by taking out the adapter behind the door panel. This might need some technical knowledge so if you have a friend who is comfortable doing this ask him/her. After i did this, the noise went away, so it will either go away for you too or might re-surface after which you can get it checked. safe.
jamilq
It may be a loose connection at speaker or at head unit, so its worth doubting the head DIN backside multiplug that sends the sound to the speakers. Good electrician will identify both and advise accordingly if you are not DIY guy.
