break light is still on

i have changed break pads of my GKL and brake pad warning light is still on

i have not change wires i as the mechanic said it is not required so i want to know if there is a reset or must i replace wires

please advice

Its not wires only my friend. It has brake pad sensor on other side of those wires that sits inside the brake pad and get worn off while brake pads are getting use. Fix those sensors and light will go off, no reset required.
